Elisha McCoy Nash

The Life and Legacy Deacon Elisha "Eli" McCoy Nash was born on November 10, 1980 to Queen Manns Nash and the late Oliver Nash in Richmond, VA. on Sunday, June 30, 2019, Eli transitioned from labor to reward. Eli was educated in the Henrico County Public Schools, and graduated from Highland Springs High School in 1999 (Springer For Life -Black & Gold).He continue his education and graduated from Advanced Technical Institute. He was employed by Anord Mardix Critical Power, Inc. as a Sales & Marketing Specialist. In the spring of 1999, he was introduced to the sweet voice of Carolyn Ellis Nash, and they were united in Holy Matrimony on July 17, 2004. Eli accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of the City of Refuge Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Sandston, VA, where he served as an Associate Deacon and President of the Youth Department (ABYBU). Eli was very passionate about leading others to Christ. He started a Bible study for the young people in his home and morning inspiration services on Sunday mornings. His personality and sense of humor was infectious, Eli was very musically inclined; he played drums and the keyboard at his church and for other ministries throughout the Richmond and surrounding areas. His attempts at various other instruments were often successful as well. Over the course of his life, Eli faced various challenges what would appear to others as impossible to conquerer. His belief in Christ and faith in this journey, united with his determination showed the world he was more than a conquer through these various situations. Eli was never ashamed, shy, or afraid to be himself at all times. He believed in enjoying life to the fullest and loved to travel. This interest lead him to becoming a travel agent. He loved cruising and encouraging others to enjoy life as well. We cannot leave out his raving commitment and dedication to the "Pittsburg Steelers". Eli leaves to cherish his loving wife Carolyn Ellis Nash; His mother, Queen Manns Nash; two sisters; Melody and Jacquetta Nash; one brother, Orlando Nash; his devoted in-laws Elder William and Bernice Ellis, Jr. of Surry, VA; three sister-in-laws: Christine Denson(Sean). Charlene Russell (Christopher), Crystal Ellis,godparents (Melvin and Hulda Westbrook), a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and loyal friends. Eli was one of a kind, a man who cared for everyone to include his family, his church, the community, and fellow musicians. He has touched so many lives, and will be greatly missed by many.
