Edward Trusty Jr.

EDWARD TRUSTY JR. was Edward Trusty Jr. was born on June 16, 1932, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Edward Sr. and Estelle Trusty. He departed this life on November 24, 2024, at the Veterans Hospital - Loch Raven, where he was in hospice care for 16 months. Known by most people as “Hank,” Mr. Hank, Lucky, and Uncle JR. Edward received his education in the Baltimore City Public School system. He later served in the Armed Forces (the Army) from 1953-1954, earning an Honorable Discharge. He worked for the Sweetheart Cup Company, retiring after 40 years of service. He was well-loved by many and a man of wisdom! Edward, as a youngster, enjoyed baseball and other sports, such as basketball and bowling in a Duckpin Bowling League. He also was a great pool shooter and enjoyed going to the High Ball Bar. Hank loved horse racing at the Pimlico Racetrack. Edward married the late Mary J. Mont in 1959. Six children were born from this union. Paulette, Edward, David, Phillip, Vernida and Kenneth Trusty. Preceding him in death, his wife Mary J. Trusty, son, Edward Trusty, grandson, Stanley L. Ross Jr. He was the last living of his siblings. Helen, Harry, Wilbert Trusty and Irene Gordon also preceding him in death. Edward was a devoted member of Fountain Baptist Church. He was baptized on January 3, 2003. Hank lived a good life, leaving this world at the age of 92 years old. He fought until the very end. He will be missed by all who loved and cared for him. He leaves to cherish his life, five children. Paulette C. Ross, David H. Trusty, Phillip A. Trusty Sr. (Wanda), Vernida D. Schaffer (William), and Kenneth Trusty (Cardelle); grandchildren, Dr. Edward M. Trusty Jr., Charles Trusty, Kerra Trusty, Artist Trusty, Kendra Trusty, Phillip Trusty Jr., Me’Aira Trusty, Destiny Ford, Teaunsha Holmon, Kandace Schaffer, Kentinette Trusty, Kayla Schaffer, Ken’Zhya, Kenneth Jr., and Kennadi Trusty; fourteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren; a devoted companion, Audrey Carson and her daughters, Shirley (preceded him in death), Sharon Watts, Deborah Winslow, Patsy Price and Barbara Carson; devoted niece Esther Trusty; and a host of other relatives and friends
