Earlma P. Granger

Earlma Patricia (Pat) Granger, affectionately known to her friends and family as Boo, entered this world on May 14, 1959 and went home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 15, 2005.Boo was born in Baltimore, MD and she was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Carver Vocational Technical High School in 1977. Following graduation she was employed at the AAI Corporation for 17 years. She was later employed by United Health Care and was then employed at St. Agnes Health Care as a Unit Secretary until she was no longer able to work. She cherished this position and was said to have thought that she ran the unit.Boo became a member of The Christian Community Church of God at the age of 13 and she participated on the Christian Harmoneers choir. Her relationship with the church and with God was reestablished in recent years and she was held in prayer by her pastor and church.Boo was married September 13, 1980 and out of that union her two children were born. Boo was an amazing mother who did everything with her children in mind. Her love and devotion was made evident in her children who excelled in school and became wonderful young adults. Even in her illness, she proudly attended graduations and award ceremonies for her children. She raised her children with the help of her devoted parents, who also became her primary caregivers.Boo was a person that made the statement ‘to know her is to love her’ true. Wherever she went, her outgoing personality and smile made her irresistible to befriend. Whether at work, at home, shopping or just walking down the street, she attracted people. Her love for life was evident in everything that she did, especially dancing. Boo was always the life of the party.As Boo became ill, she continued to be an inspiration to everyone. Regardless of how she felt, she never complained about her situation. Her strength and courage in the face of all that she was going through was remarkable and comforted those who were trying to comfort her.She leaves to cherish her memory two loving children, Clarence, Jr. and Channe’ Granger; her devoted parents, Franklin and Shirley Goodson, Sr.; her loving grandmother, Mary Franks; two brothers, Franklin, Jr. (Linda) and Wayne (Hope) Goodson; four sisters, Cynthia (Tyrone, Sr.) Blackwell, Sharon (David) Tomlin, Angela (Mark) Cooley and Shirley Ann Eldridge; her nieces, Tandrea Harris, Tynacia Blackwell, Dawn Artis, Crystal Gallion, Marquia Cooley and Candice Cooley; her nephews, Reginald Eldridge, Tyrone, Jr. (Kisha) Blackwell and Forte’ Goodson; her great-nephews, Don ‘DJ’ Parker, Jr., Noah Blackwell, Raman Artis, Anthony Eldridge, Reginald Eldridge II, Aubre Eldridge and Christopher Eldridge; her great-nieces, Madison Blackwell, Cymone Eldridge and Kayla Eldridge; her special friend Leonard Patrick; her God-daughter, Janel Handy; her long time best friend Carla Handy and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin, other relatives and friends.
