Domonique Brice

DOMONIQUE AVA BRICE, a true angel of God, was born on December 28, 1991 at Sinai Hospital to a loving and devoted mother Deirdre Pettaway and father Dominic Brice. Domonique was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on March 22, 2006 after a short, devastating illness at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Domonique, better known as Nikki, received her education in the Baltimore City Public Schools, where she received numerous certificates for her outstanding achievements in many different areas of her education. Also, Nikki was a very outgoing and energetic young lady who enjoyed reading, eating and cutting up with her friends. Nikki was indeed full of life’s promises, hopes and dreams. One of her biggest fantasies was to meet “Bow Wow” personally and be his girlfriend. Throughout Domonique’s life from infancy to a young adult, she touched the hearts of many lives. Sensing a need of God in her life, Nikki joined the Mt. Calvary Star Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Alex Young, Sr. on November 13, 2005. She was very interested in knowing more about God. After joining the church, she attended the new membership class and received her certificate of completion on March 5, 2006. Domonique served the Lord by singing His praises in the Youth and Young Adult Choir. Domonique rejoiced in serving God and worshipped Him in truth and holiness. She faithfully attended all services and was a role model for youth in Christ. The church will really miss her and her spirit. She leaves to mourn her passing: mother, Deirdre Pettaway; father, Dominic Brice; stepfather, Clarence Willis; two brothers, Damion Peterson and Justin Peterson; niece, Kya Peterson; grandmother, Melvern Brice; great-grandmother, Thelma Braham; six aunts, Dreamer Pettaway (dedicated and devoted aunt who was like a mother), Robin Brice, Darlene Brice, Yvonne Brice, Andrea Lee (Cookie) and Sharon Smith; three uncles, Gerard Brice, Ivan Timmons and James Lee; four great-aunts, Mary Wilkes, Rosie Peck, Ethel Malone and Laurene Marshall; great-uncles, Norman Malone, Thomas Coates, George Braham, Rodney Braham and James Brice; a special cousin who was like a sister, Dreamer Hemphill (Bricka); a host of relatives and friends including, Brad, Petie, Cedric, Jennifer, Jordan, Shannon, Gregory, Shalia, Danielle and Derek. She was preceded in death by: great-grandfather, Norman Malone Sr.; great-grandmother, Ann Malone Patterson; grandparents, Jeanette Pettaway and Billy Pettaway; and cousin, Christopher Moses.
