Dominic B. Macklin

Dominic Byron Macklin received his name by way of a dream, a dream his mother had that two angels appeared to her dressed in pure white and to her to name him Dominic. Upon awakening from the dream, his mother looked up the name, which meant: a child asked of God, born on a Sunday. Therefore since she asked God for a boy child, and he was born on a Sunday at 8:08 p.m.-she named him Dominic. Her appointed angel. Dominic was reared and educated in Baltimore County Schools. He graduated from Randallstown High School. He attended Catonsville Community College. Dominic was employed in various occupations throughout his life in the managerial capacity. Dominic loved writing poems and songs. He enjoyed his friends and family. He’s remembered for his kindness, helpfulness, big smiles and sense of humor. He made numerous friends wherever he went and will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Sheila Vest; step-father, Lawrence Vest, Sr.; father, Vincent Jenkins, Sr.; sister, Nia Macklin; brother, Vincent Jenkins, Jr.; grandmother, Christine Hatcher; step-grandfather, Melvin Hatcher Sr.; grandfather, St. Paul Macklin Sr.; grandmother, Annie Jenkins; grandfather, Samuel Jenkins; great grandmother, Mamie Andrew; two uncles, St. Paul Macklin, Jr. and Thomas Macklin and his wife, Tracy; four aunts, Gayle Garrison, Vicki Jenkins, Valerie Staffold and husband Michael, and Verita Rogers; three special great uncles, Oliver, Junious and Willard Valentine; two special great aunts, Florence and Doris Valentine; and a host of other relatives, friends and associates, with special acknowledgements f thanks for their unselfish love and support to the Lewis Family: David Sr., Athelstein, Lori, David Jr.; and especially his most devoted friend, Leslie Lewis. Dominic had a very special personal relationship with God because he wanted everyone to know that God is the first and last, author and finisher of our faith. He loves the Lord, so now he is with Him face to face-where he preferred to be any way and where angels belong.
