Mrs. Diane Deborah Griffin

Diane was born on October 25, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Dora Lee and Charles Williams. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Diane grew up in Baltimore, attending Arlington Elementary School, Pimlico Junior High School, and graduating from Northwestern High School in 1975. She pursued higher education at The University of Maryland College Park, where she studied Business and Law, laying the foundation for a life marked by dedication and service. Her early years were filled with joy and activity-she loved visiting amusement parks, roller skating, and was an enthusiastic member of the Woodlawn Bowling League. In 1984, Diane became a mother to her first child, Emmanuel, with her then companion William Powell. Later, in 1987, she met her husband Tyrone Griffin, with whom she welcomed two more children, Nicole and Gregory. Diane's professional life was distinguished by service and leadership. She served as Correctional Officer at Baltimore City Jail, worked in banking, and ultimately found her calling at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. There, she dedicated over 20 years as a Supervisor Materials Management before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of diligence and care. Beyond her career, Diane was a passionate reader with a particular fondness for the novels of Stephen King and James Patterson. She delighted in science fiction and fantasy films, especially the universes of Star Trek and Star Wars. Her love of knowledge extended to studying world history and frequent visits to museums. In her later years, Diane embraced the joy of travel, often going on cruises to explore new horizons. Above all, Diane was a woman of profound faith and unwavering devotion to God. Her strength, kindness, and spiritual commitment were pillars in her life and a source of inspiration for her family and community. Diane is survived by her husband Tyrone Griffin; her Mother Dora Williams; her two sons Emmanuel and Gregory; her siblings Rene, Roslyn, and Charles; and her in-laws and many nieces and nephews-Shantee, Bryant, Dale, Matthew, Ashleigh, Kai, and Chantia-who all cherished her deeply. Diane's life was testament to love, resilience, and faith. She will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege to know her.
