DENNIS MAURICE ELLISON, born November 2, 1952 to Clora Butler and James L. Ellison, Sr. Dennis was the only son born to Clora Butler, but he had brothers and sisters that he loved and had personal relationships. Dennis departed this life on Saturday, July 29, 2006 after a lengthy illness.He attended Baltimore City Public School #113, Benjamin Banneker Elementary School and was a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar Class of 1971. Dennis attended college at UMBC, Silver Springs, MD for a short period of time. While in Silver Springs, he earned the title of “Party Doctor,” which is the name he used in his entrepreneurship later in life.Dennis met and married Diane Ellison nee Cooper and from this union four beautiful children were born: Denard Ellison, who preceded him in death, Cheyenne Ellison, Dennis Maurice Ellison, Jr. (Marco) and daughter, Diana Monique Ellison.Anyone who knew Dennis knew how much he loved his FAMILY. He loved being a husband, father, son, uncle and friend. Anyone who ever met him always liked him; he was special, compassionate, kind, thoughtful and helpful in any way he could. If he couldn’t help you, he would not do anything to hurt you.Dennis worked for Sparrows Point for 21 years until he had to leave work on disability retirement. He later received a degree in Early Childhood Education and worked for Sheilah Williams at “ in Katherine’s Care” until his illness prevented him from working. Dennis was an entrepreneur who coordinated several parties and weddings; he was the MD-Party Doctor, “ The Right Prescription For Your Good Time.”Dennis leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted mother, Clora Butler; father, James L. Ellison, Sr.; wife, Diane Ellison nee Cooper; sons, Cheyenne Ellison, and Dennis Maurice Ellison, Jr. (Marco); one daughter, Diana Monique Ellison; seven grandchildren, TaShawna, Denaria, Rashawn, Kaden, Kyree, Kylenne and Marshae; two aunts, Pearl Butler and Josephine House; an uncle, Alonzo Butler; brother and sisters, Jacqueline Sellers, James L. Ellison, Jr., Barbara Bright, Regina Morrison, Saundra Ellison, Ethelyn Kintell, Michael Ellison, Stephanie Ellison and Wallace Adkins; and a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
