Denise Darcel Ward

God’s Soldier in Arms Denise Darcel Ward was born on June 12, 1956, in Baltimore, MD to Louise and Henry Thomas. She was called back to heaven on December 3, 2023. Denise received her early education through Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Lake Clifton High School. After high school, she served in the Army for 2 years. There she developed valuable skills and made lasting connections within the military community. She received an Honorable Discharge in 1978. Denise completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Alternative and Renewable Energy Management from Everglades University in 2020. Denise was a volunteer at her local Veteran’s Administration for over 10 years. She helped veterans learn coping strategies to manage PTSD and transition from active duty back to civilian life. Over the years Denise was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medicine Aide. She worked in nursing homes, retirement communities and on private duty assignments in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. She loved to provide the elderly with tender loving care. She was known for giving the best care to her clients, especially when their health was at its worst. Within the past year Denise embarked on a successful career as the Chief Financial Officer of MALOM Funding, LLC. Her dedication and expertise contributed significantly to the company’s growth and success. Denise leaves behind her high-school sweetheart and loving husband Reginald Ward Sr, four beautiful children: Angela Nichole Ward, Nathalie Darcel Waller, Tavon Terez Ward, and Reginald Ward Jr., eight grandchildren: Cameron Reshawn Lee Ward, Tavion Brianta Green-Ward, Acario Terrell Williams, Donovin Rayshawn Lee Ward, Reginald Lee Ward III, Nevayah Denise Waller, Emmanuel Richard Lee Ward and Nehemiah Robert Lee Ward, three living siblings and an extensive loving extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Denise was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church and community. She believed that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. She knew that despite any trial set before her, she was a conqueror through Jesus Christ. She was the one you could always count on to pray with you and for you, at any time. Denise was known for her joyous smile, trendy dance moves, sweet potato pies and banana pudding. Denise Ward will be remembered for her strength, determination, and unwavering commitment to God, her family, country, and career. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
