Deborah Ann Ivory Jones

DEBORAH, was born in Baltimore City on June 7, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Beverly Mae Smith- Downy and the late Joseph Ivery. The late Tyrell Mills, Son preceded her in dealth. Deborah was a 1979 graduate of Patterson Senior High School. She later pursued studies at Baltimore City College and was recently contemplating further studies. During Debroah's earlier years, Deborah became active with Baltimore League- Easter Seals. Deborah enjoyed swimming, picnics, Hayrides, and attended Camp Greentop. In later years, Deborah united with People Encouraging People (PEP). Deborah loved herself some PEP. PEP was very instrumental in being there when Deborah needed some special support. Deborah loved the staff and cliends, and they ALL enjoyed and loved her. Deborah was baptized at The Southern Baptist Church under the Pastorate of the late Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Higgs. Later years, On January 13, 2013, Deborah rededicated her Life to Christ, under, the anoited Pastorial leadership of Bishop Kevia Ellott. Deborah enjoyed the fellowship and her walk. Aside from God and family, Deborah met the love of her life in the name of Eward Jones. Deborah would call it “Blissful love”. Deborah became affectionally known Edward's “Buffy”. They united in marriage in December 22, 2008 and rededicated their nuptials several years ago. No one could separate them apart. Deborah loved people, she liked to have fun. Most of all, she enjoyed encouraging others. Deborah demostrated her compassion for people. Her phone ministry was exceptional. If you did not call Deborah, rest assure, Deborah would call YOU. Deborah exhibted a great sense of humor, which runs the family. Deborah is survived by a loving husband, Edward Jones, three sisters; Valerie Smith- Fleming (MichaelSr.), Kimberly Smith-Watts (David), and Linda Dupree (California), two brothers; Rev. Paul Smith (Washington, DC) and Andre Smith (Florida); Mother-inlaw; Audrey Jones; sister in law Valerie Jones; step daughter; Minnie Turner, six nephews (Andre, Deangleo, Robert, Tyree, Maurice and Min. Michael Jr.; one niece: Xenia; one god-daughter; Kenisha Williams; Deborah also leaves to mourn a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
