Rev Deborah Harris

One Saturday October 4, 2014 at 7:02 p.m. our beloved DEBORAH R. HARRIS transition to be with the Lord after a short battle of cancer. Deborah was born on January 5, 1949 to Earl L Fields and the Late Edith Hairston Fields in Baltimore, Maryland. Deborah graduated with honors from Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior High School in 1966. Deborah was a former member of the First Charity Baptist Church and a current member of the New Refuge Deliverence Cathedral where she was Baptized in Jesus name and Filled with the Holy Ghost. In March 1996 Deborah was ordained as an Elder and appointed as Lay Pastor in September 2004. In 2012, Deborah achieved her Master Of Divinity in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from the University Family Bible College. Deborah was affectionately known as one of Baltimore's best sopranos and up tempo song specialist. Deborah loved to sing and ad-lib to songs whether you wanted her to or not, she was sure to let her voice be heard. Deborah sang on various choirs such as back singer for national recording artist Myrna Summers, The Reborn Singers, GMWA, Charles Sturgess and the Spiritual Harps, Refuge Community Choir, Voices of Greater Shiloh, Voices of Bethel Temple, The recording Kings Choral Ensemble and her most recent choir The recording Eric Waddle & The Abundant Life Singers all whom she loved dearly. Her favorite saying if she thought you were doing or saying something wrong was THE BLOOD OF JESUS OR LOOSE SHEER.. Deborah was a true woman of God who let her light shine wherever she was, her smile would light up a room and was piercing to the heart. Deborah enjoyed and loved spending time with her family and friends, going to the movies, and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Deborah was preceded in death by Duane M. Davis (Son) and Susan Fields (Stepmother). Deborah leaves to cherish her memory her father Earl L Fields; her three loving sons Timothy Fields, Carlton Davis and Andre Harris Jr.; a devoted and loving daughter-in-law Shanica Davis; seven grandchildren Shakia, Tashaya, Carlton III, Sashae, Duane, Tamesha and Jaden; three great-grandchildren Briel, Braelyn, and Azuri; brother, Earl L. Fields Jr. (Antionette); two sisters Mary-Helen Brown (Joe), and Zina Brown; four nieces April Knight, Chandra Fields, Angel Newman, and Janay Royster; five nephews Darren, Eric, Earl III and Gary Willams Jr.; six godchildren, Kevan Marshall, Chris Marshall, Chantel Lee, Tameka Bryant, Tynisha Epps, and Unkie; three special friends Niecy Vincent, Earline Meredith and Alease Alexander; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.
