Ms. Deborah Denise Briscoe

A Life Well Lived Deborah Denise Briscoe was born on February 10, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late William Briscoe and Rosalee Ophelia Briscoe. Deborah transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Deborah was raised in East Baltimore and attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She graduated from Lake Clifton High School and the University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in accounting. Deborah was also a devoted member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. After graduating from the University of Maryland, Deborah was hired by the Internal Revenue Service and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Once in retirement, she remained connected to many coworkers. At an early age Deborah accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a faithful member of St. Bernardine Roman Catholic Church and a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Deborah lived her life guided by faith, compassion and service. She was a woman of strength and grace, encouraging everyone she encountered, especially young people. Deborah’s life was full of sharing her love and she was a devoted friend to many. She was affectionately called Debbie by her family and friends. Debbie had a passion for cooking and loved sharing meals with others. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings full of love, life, and food! Debbie embraced every opportunity to travel and explore new places and cultures. She also enjoyed shopping and always carried herself with style and grace. Whether she was abroad or around the corner, Debbie’s beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and generosity touched everyone she met. She leaves to cherish many memories: four beloved brothers: Ronald (Ann), Gilbert (Vanessa), Gregory (Peggy), Anthony and one Uncle, Gilbert Jackson (Charolette). Debbie did not have any biological children but was a devoted aunt and mother figure too many of her nieces, nephews: Felicia (Raymond), Ronnie. (Twelve), Reginald Sr. (Trinice), Aiesha, Chiquita, Leticia, Krystal, Tabatha (Josh), Brittany, Taylor (Celina); goddaughter Jessica, childhood friend Deborah Hill and a host of great-nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends to carry on her legacy.
