Deborah R Bell-Dixon

Deborah Renee Bell Dixon born on September 19, 1955, unexpectedly transitioned to her next life on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, leaving a void in our hearts. She was the youngest child and only daughter of the late Lewis Otto and Dorothy Elizabeth Bell. Debbie as she was affectionately known was a very private but loveable woman. She made friends easily and loved those she befriended. All who knew her had nothing but kind words for and memories of her. So much so that even recent acquaintances quickly migrated to her to assist her however she may have needed. On September 19, 1999, Debbie married the late Gregory Dixon who transitioned to his next life this past March. She loved Gregory with all her heart, and his departure left her broken hearted what those who knew her believe was the cause of her death. She visited his grave site 2-3 times a week since his interment. There were no human children from this union, but they were the “parents” of several fur babies – bunnies to be exact. Their love for these “babies” was so strongly evident that others would bring them strays they discovered and always without fail, Gregory and Debbie would take them in and love them throughout their lives. Debbie so enjoyed these bunnies and Gregory’s amazing interactions with them. Gregory could issue commands, and they would obey. He could ask for a kiss, and they would honor his request. They would come when called and follow on command. Their black and white bunny Princess, their all-black bunny Maxi, and their brown bunny Cinamon, all preceded them in death. Debbie led a quiet and unassuming life. She grew up in Our Savior Lutheran Church where she received her foundational Christian spiritual roots. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system and for many years worked for the US Postal Service. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Otto and Dorothy Elizabeth Bell and her husband Gregory Dixon. She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers Albert Bell (Juanita), Marvin Bell (Jill), Marco Bell. Brothers-in-law Maurice Dixon (Evelyn), and Sidney Dixon. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces and nephews (Melody (Haneef), Marco Jr., Christopher, Marvin Jr. (Pamela), Brandon, Raymond, and Chalae). Her great nieces and nephews (Tiese, Tatiana, LeValya Jr., Lavell, Tiffany, Cody, Lyric, Lena, Lisa, Maaliyah, Logan, and Skylar), great-great nieces and nephew Aamir, Nohely, Nailah and Nia, dear friends Vanessa Martin and Sharmond (Darryl) Cannady, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
