Debora Jordan

DEBORA JORDAN, daughter of the the Louis Alexander Anderson and the late Naomi Anderson, was born on October 11, 1959 in Baltimore, Maryland. She entered the realm of Glory on April 4, 2023, after a short illness. “Debbie” as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Shortly after, in 1974, she gave birth to her first beloved, her son, Jamelle Linton. In 1981 she was blessed yet again with twin daughters, Shameka, and Tameka Wagner, whom she adored. In 1982, Debbie met the love of her life, husband Eric Jordan and gained a bonus daughter, Erica Hill. Debbie’s husband of over 30 years preceded her in death in 2015. In 1988, she was blessed with another daughter, Irma O’Neal, with whom she had a very special relationship. Debbie was a loving, caring, and devoted wife and mother. She dedicated her life and work to caring for her family. She took on the unwavering care of nursing her ill daughter, Tameka for 16 years, who was disabled from an infant until she transitioned. Thereafter, in 1998, Debbie was blessed with another son, Eric Jordan II, who was the sparkle in her eye. She then returned to school to obtain her nursing license and took on the care of others serving as a Certified Nurse Assistant for Johns Hopkins Hospital for 15 years. In 2009, she took on the tender care of her loving grandson Darius (who became a son) after the passing of his mother, her daughter Shameka. Debbie excitedly welcomed her 2nd grandson Demondtae Linton, who preceded her in death in 2021. Her two dear brothers Jeffrey and Anthony Anderson and her loving sister Carolyn Jackson also preceded her in death. Debbie offered nothing but endowing love, affection, and encouragement to everyone that she met. At a young age, Debora dedicated her life to Christ and later became a member of Freedom Baptist Missionary Church, where she served as a Missionary, witnessing, touching, and affecting lives. Her passing leaves a missing piece in the hearts of those who loved and have come to know her. That missing piece will be put back together for those who will meet her in Glory. “Nothing is ever lost when you know where it is”. Debora leaves to cherish her memory: her sons, Jamelle Linton and Eric Jordan II; daughters, Irma O’Neal and Erica Hill; two sons-in-law, Deltwane O’Neal and Troy Hill; special grandson, Darius Wagner; granddaughter, Zyhier Linton; grandsons, Josiah, Christian and Isaiah O’Neal; great-grandson, Khaza; sisters, Rosemary (Rosie) Anderson (the “Thelma to her Louise”) and Naomi (Sherri) Smith; brother- in-law, Linwood Smith; nieces, Tee, Cindy, Toni, Tina and Nikki; nephew, Tony; best friends, Wanda Ford, Serena Gaskins and Henry Taylor; numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
