David Kevin Miles

David Kevin Young Miles, son of the late Donna Young and William Miles, was born on May 1, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland. He transitioned form this life on February 6, 2017 at the Levindale Rehabilitation Hospital after a long illness. After the untimely death of his birth mother, Donna Young, David was raised by his loving aunt, Yvonne Anderson Parran, from the age of two years old. David gave his life to Christ very early in his life. He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. After graduating from Baltimore City College High School, David enlisted in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge and returned to Baltimore where we was employed by the Spellman and Lawson Land Survey Company until his illness in 2002. In August of 2000, David married Nicole Campbell and from this union one daughter was born, Alexandria Miles. David was a resident of the Levindale Rehabilitation Hospital from 2002 until his transition. He was an active member of The Boomers Club, an organization which raises funds for residents of Levindale Rehabilitation Hospital to participate in activities such as going to baseball games, shopping at Walmart, and eating at restaurants. David’s favorite hobbies were eating; painting; writing stories, poems, greeting cards and letters for the other residents. David also published a book, “Words and Thoughts.” David attend the Christian worship services at Levindale and testified to the goodness of Jesus Christ. David had many, many friends who were apart of the Levindale community. The residents, doctors, nurses, GNA’s, dietitians, housekeeping staff, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and administration all loved David and he them. David was preceded death by his birth mother, Donna Young; and brother, Dwight David. David leaves to cherish his memory, a loving and devoted Mother, Yvonne Parran; Step-Father, Calvin Parran; one daughter, Alexandria Miles; one sister, Rhonda ;one brother, William Anderson, Jr.; a special niece Shantel Reed; a special great-niece, America Faulkner; an Uncle Douglas Williams; three aunts, Clarissa McAphee, Carole Young, and Yvette Gardner; special friends, Michelle Herbert, and Carlton Simmons; a special cousin Erik Prestbury; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends.
