Danita Lavonne Myree

On January 16, 2020, God called home another Angel, Danita Lavonne Myree was born on March 30, 1969 to Linda Lythcott and Joseph Myree (Vanessa) in Buffalo, New York. Danita received at an early age at Greater Refuge Temple of Christ in Buffalo, NY under the leadership of Apostle Robert L. Sanders Sr. Danita also attended Manna Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Marvin Mason in Richmond, VA and City Church formally (Mountain of Blessings) under the leadership of the late Pastor Dr. Dimitri Bradley in Richmond, VA. Danita attended Buffalo State College Leaning Lab, Diocesan Education Campus (DEC), and Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts (BAVPA). She attended Virginia Union University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. She also attended Virginia Commonwealth University and was currently attending Liberty University. Danita was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., and she worked for Hanover Public Schools at Chickahominy Middle School, Sisters Place Group Home, and Richmond Public Schools at George Wythe High School and Huguenot High School. As a leader and a pillar of the community, Danita touched many lives. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, niece, godmother and friend. While attending Manna Christian Fellowship, Danita was part of The Revolutionary Woman Ministry lead by Mother Isabel Tindall and also a praise dancer. She was a facility advisor to the senior graduation classes at George Wythe High School. Danita often volunteered to help her students by orchestrating fashion shows, poetry out loud, senior proms, and fundraisers especially during her time at Richmond Public Schools. She loved to travel and enjoyed studying abroad in New Zealand. Danita is preceded in death by her grandparents Evan and Sadie Lythcott, NOrman and Lula Myree, and Great-grandmother Ambrosine Burton-Lythcott. She leaves to cherish her memories her mother Linda Lythcott of Buffalo, NY, father Joseph Myree (Vanessa), of Buffalo, NY, sister Jaisa Myree-Coronado of Indianapolis, IN, aunt Ambrosine Lythcott of Buffalo, NY, cousin Robert E. Goree Jr. of Richmond, VA, niece Gabrielle Myree of Indianapolis, IN, nephew Evan Myree of Indianapolis IN, godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends too numerous to name.
