Daniel "Danny" Goodall Jr.

Daniel Antonio Goodall, Jr. “Danny”, 34 of Richmond, Virginia transitioned to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. He was born July 29, 1986 in Richmond, Virginia to Daniel Antonio Goodall, Sr., and Valencia Davis Goodall. He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Lloyd D. and Pearl Goodall; grandfather, John E. Davis, Jr. “Pa Pa”; great aunt, Irene Mines; and his aunt, Mary Louise Goodall Johnson. Danny graduated from Meadowbrook High School in Chesterfield, Virginia in 2009. Danny was a very loving and happy young man. He had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. He adored, and very much loved his mother, whom he called “Mom ma”. Danny was a great Washington Redskins fan. He enjoyed attending their football camp, seeing them play a game each year at FedEx Field; and wearing his “Redskin” football gear. Danny loved eating his favorite foods, a few of which were BBQ ribs, macaroni and cheese, and “Starbucks” chocolate chip cookies. Also, each year a birthday cake and icecream added to his delight. Danny loved listening to music, which he inherited from his “Pa Pa”. Danny also loved to sing, especially his favorite song, “God Bless America,” which he enjoyed singing with his father. Danny was skilled in re-organizing things. He would meticulously put things in order. He also had a knack, indirectly, in selecting Virginia Lottery Numbers. The staff at the residence where he lived looked forward to seeing what numbers he would write on his chalk board, so they could play them in the pick three or four lottery. Many times, it was a winning number. Danny leaves to cherish his memory his father, Daniel A. Goodall, Sr.; sister, Monica Valencia Goodall; grandmother, Vera Bell Davis; two aunts, Terry Davis Mayo “auntee” (Godmother) and Nyeta Goodall; five uncles, Harold W. Mayo (Godfather), Lloyd D. Goodall, Sylvester A. Goodall, William M. Goodall and Eric A. Goodall; four great aunts, Annie Bell of Rocky Mount, NC, Jean Bell, Mary Bell and Joyce Bell; two great uncles, Joseph L. Bell, Sr. of Rocky Mount, NC and James M. Bell, Sr.; devoted cousin, Davidallen Michael James Johnson, IV; a special love one, Michelle Randall; a host of many loving cousins, relatives and friends; and two special, furry canines, Prince and Mo Mo. Don’t Grieve For Me, I Am Free Don’t grieve for me, for I am free. I am following the path that God laid for me. I took His hand Tuesday when I heard Him call. I left it all; I could not stay another day To laugh, to love . . . Tasks left undone will stay that way I have found peace. . . So don’t grieve for me, I am free.
