Daniel Darryl Cephas

Daniel Darryl Cephas began his earthly journey on August 5, 1965 in Cambridge, Maryland. He departed his heavenly home on March 28, 2002. Daniel was the fifth son born to Allen Jr. and Portia Cephas. He received his education in the public school systems of Baltimore City. He was educated in Baltimore City public schools, graduating from Southwestern Senior High School in 1983. After graduating from high school Daniel enlisted in the United States Army and attained the rank of sergeant. He received numerous awards, certificates, and citations during his career in the military. While serving in the military, Daniel met Cinnamon Jones and on February 19, 1988, they were united in holy matrimony. God in this union blessed them with three children, one girl and two boys. Daniel was a loving and devoted father and husband, always putting his family first and spending quality time with his family. Although in the year 2000 God chose to call his wife Cinnamon home from labor to reward and Daniel continued to care and provide for his children. At this time Donnell, as he was affectionately known, returned home to Baltimore with his children to be with his family where he continued to spend time with those whom he loved the most. In 2002, Daniel retired from his military career after faithfully serving his country for 18 years. Donnell was a loving, caring, devoted father, son, brother and friend and although he is gone, he will continue to live on in our memories and hearts. His brother Ronnie Cephas preceded Donnell in death.Donnell leaves behind to cherish his memory: three children, Dezeray Danyell, Daniel Jr., and Danzeem Ronnie Mazir Cephas; his loving mother, Portia Cephas; father, Allen Cephas Jr.; five brothers, Robert, Anthony, and Agra Cephas, Tyrone and William Jarmon; one sister, Portia T. Cephas; two grandmothers, Bertha Fletcher and Aline Cephas; one aunt, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many friends. He also shared a special bond with his friend, Senelda Watkins.So, as the chapter closes on this side, he is just beginning to write a new one on the other side. So long Donnell, we’ll miss you, we loved you, but we know that you heard a call no matter how faint and you left it all for a quiet place of eternal rest.Humbly and lovingly submitted,The Family
