Damon A Johnson

Damon Antonio Johnson, affectionately known as Blg Fruit, was born July 6, 1975, in altimore, Maryland, to the late Harvey A. Johnson and Diane Johnson (Nixon). le peacefully departed this life on September 8, 2025. Damon was educated in both Baltimore City Public Schools and Private Schools. le spent much of his youth on the youth on the Basketball court, winning trophies ind leading his team to many victories during his high school years. Damon was own for his wit and humor. His mother fondly recalled when he once told her he lidn't like Catholic school when asked why, he replied, "I don't like the nuns", she Isked "How many nuns do you know? I know two-and I don't like either one. Best nown for his love of basketball Beyond playing, Damon loved to debate sports with ls uncles, friends, and especially his Uncle George, with whom he shared a close iond. He was a devoted family man who cherished his only sister Angela, whom he lovingly called "Bear," whom he loved leeply despite teasing her growing up by joking that she was "left on their doorstep." In truth, he would not have raded her for the world, and his niece Nunu, who affectionately called him "Big Uncle Fruit." Damon was most proud of being a father to his two beautiful daughters, Destonee S. Johnson who inherited his ace and Mtracle Johnson, who inherited his height they were his greatest joy and legacy. Damon worked hard throughout his life, whether at McDonald's where he earned the Golden Spatula Award, or ater as a maintenance worker for apartment complexes. Known throughout the West Park Heights community, Jamon was admired for his loyalty, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He Leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother Diane Nixon; daughters Destonee S. Johnson and Miracle Johnson; ister Angela N. Nixon; grandson Desmon Jackson; four aunts, Donetter Ashe, Tvese P. Smith (Kirkland), Belinda ohnson, and Geraldine Goodson; two uncles, Alvin (Lisa) and Irvin Pierce; God-brother Walter K. Couple aQuette); repacher Wille Bermard Nixon, stepfather Roger LT. Waller; and very spectal Ifelong friends Omar Washingron Pusha T), Miriam, and Davon "Elmo" Blackwell (Denee). These friends were rarely seen without Damon by their side, reflecting the deep loyalty and bonds he built throughout le was preceded in death by his father Harvey Johnson, grandparents James and Evelyn Bailey, Alvin and Genevia serce, three uncles James L., Larry D., and George E. Bailey, and two aunts Denise Bailey and Evangelist Deborah A Damon will be remembered for his love of sports, his devotion to family, and the laughter, loyalty, and bonds he created that will live on through those who loved him.
