Damon Jackson

DAMON JACKSON departed this life on October 10, 2009. He was born on June 4, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland to Christina Commodore and the late Donald Jackson. Damon was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System, and graduated from the Lake Clifton High School in 1991, where he majored in business. Damon gave himself to the Lord and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at the age of seventeen.After high school, Damon held various positions where he was employed by Bay View Medical Center (Housekeeping), U.S. Postal Service (Mail Carrier), The Body Factor (Personal Trainer), The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (Correctional Officer) and The Mass Transit Administration (Bus Driver). While Damon held all of these positions, none seemed to satisfy his love to become a certified personal trainer. Damon’s passion began when his uncle Kevin gave him his first workout bench. Damon knew he could make a significant difference in people’s lives when it came to their fitness and health. This passion eventually led him to open his own business called ABSolute Personal Training, Inc., where he not only established a large clientele, but genuine friendship as well. Damon also had a special interest in helping high school boys stay fit through training while participating in such sports as basketball and football. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and had hobbies that included drawing and sometimes sitting for hours playing video games.While in high school, Damon met the love of his life and soulmate Vandelle D. Bean. The two of them were inseparable from the very beginning. Everyone knew that if they saw Vandelle that Damon wasn’t too far behind of vice versa. Their dating extended fourteen years strong; and then they decided to unite in holy matrimony before God, family and friends on October 5, 2002. In 2001, Damon and Vandelle got a cocker spaniel puppy named Diamond, who brought another level of joy to their lives by the love and affection they gave her.Damon was always willing to help anyone in need and he will be truly missed by everyone. Damon leaves to mourn: his wife, Vandelle D. Jackson; dog, Diamond; mother, Christina Commodore; grandmother, Harriet Mcallister; brother, Darryl Jackson; mother-in-law, Denise Bean; father-in-law, Andrew Smith ; grandmother –in-law, Dorothy Bean; sister-in-law, Andrew Smith. He is also survived by many godchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
