Cynthia Iris Cousin

CYNTHIA IRIS COUSIN was the eldest of two daughters born to Ruth Iris Cousin and the late Fred Lee Cousin on October 26, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. Her beloved sister Belinda, preceded her in death. On July 6, 2012, following a lengthy illness, she was called home to her final resting place to be with the loved ones that passed before her. “Cynnie”, as she was fondly called by her loved ones and those who knew her attended Lake Clifton High School where she received her diploma. Upon completion of high school she attended The Community College of Baltimore where received her degree. She furthered her education receiving a certificate in Computer Programming which led to her job at FIRST UNION BANK. After several years working at First union she continues her employment at the U.S. Post Office where she retired. Cynthia gave birth to two loving children, her daughter, Rona Kelly-Reed and her son Horace P. Kelly, Jr Cynnie also had a maternal connection to her two nephews Morris Johnson and Donald Thomas. Cynthia was known for her loving kindness and giving heart. Her greatest love was for her grandchildren but, she loved and embraced all children. Every weekend all the children from grandkids to her cousins wanted to be at Cynnie's house They would play video games all night and she would let them do whatever they wanted. Cynnie was also a devoted mother even in her sickly days. There is nothing she wouldn't do for her children-from walking in snow storms to words of encouragement, she was always there for them making sure kids had everything they wanted and needed. Cynthia was devoted daughter, mother, cousin and aunt who has left behind many with fond and happy memories of the life they shared with her and will hold in their hearts forever. Cynthia sorrowfully leaves to cherish her memory; her loving and devoted mother Ruth Iris Cousin; Rona Kelly-Reed & Horace Kelly; four grandchildren, Megan Kelly,Morgan Reed, Horace Reed, & Derrick Reed (who preceded her in death); two special nephews, Morris “Barn” Johnson & Donald Thomas; one son-in-law, Jamal Reed; one daughter-in-law, Kesha Kelly and a host of other relatives and friends.
