Crystal E. Gaylord

On January 13, 1988, God blessed Isaac and Everlena Gaylord with the precious gift of a beautiful baby girl. They named the beautiful baby girl CRYSTAL ELIZABETH GAYLORD. Crystal, as her name suggests, was the sparkle and light of her family. From early childhood, Crystal displayed a unique style of fashion. She cherished being an individual who expressed her thoughts and opinions. Crystal had a strong sense of who she was. She was an intelligent young lady who excelled in academics. Throughout her quest for knowledge, Crystal received numerous awards. Crystal attended Abbottston Elementary School, Glenmont Middle School, and until her homegoing, attended Sought-Out Redeemed Christian School. Crystal applied to and was accepted to Baltimore City College High School. She was to attend City this coming fall. There is no doubt in her family’s mind that she would have excelled academically.Crystal was raised in a very religious family. She knew about Jesus Christ, and accepted Him as her Savior. When Crystal needed to go before the Holy Throne of God, she did not hesitate to go to the alter during alter call. She worshiped at the Cathedral of the Living Word under the leadership of the late Reverend George Simon. In 2002, Crystal became a member of the Greater Paradise Christian Center under the leadership of Reverend Shawn Bell. Crystal loved to attend Christian Youth Conferences with her Grandmother Adele Hurst. Recently, at a youth meeting, Crystal rededicated her life to Christ.“Having the Glory of God Her light was like a precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as Crystal" (Revelations 21:11).On June 15, 2003, the Lord guided our precious Crystal home to shine in heaven. God loaned us this precious young lady to us for fifteen beautiful years. For this, WE GIVE HIM THE PRAISE! Crystal will be greatly missed, but remember, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5:8).The memory of the essence of Crystal will be cherished by her father, Isaac Allen Gaylord, Jr.; her mother, Everlena Maria Gaylord; two sisters, Lakeisha Nicole Johnson and Lakia Maria Johnson; one brother, Isaac Allen Gaylord, III; grandfather, Joseph Hurst, Jr.; grandmother, Adele Hurst; maternal aunts, Carol Lavern Hurst, Rosalind Michele Hurst, Sharon Anita Saunders, and Naomi Vernetta Hurst; cousin, Ebony Chyvon Saunders; nephew, Tavon Allen, Jr.; paternal aunts, Aleen Gaylord-Rhames and Hannah Woodard; paternal uncles, James. E. Gaylord, George Gaylord, Carl Woodard and Corey Rhames; a very close and dear friend, Lyrea Sample; a host of dear relatives and dear friends.
