Crosby L. Parham

CROSBY L. PARHAM, son of the late Lindwood and Carolyn Parham, was born on October 7, 1943 in New York, New York. He departed this life on January 3, 2012. Crosby”s early education was in Sussex County, Virginia where he attended elementary and junior high school. He lived there with his grandmother until 1958. he then came to Baltimore after the passing of his grandmother, Priscilla Parham to live with his aunt Mae Myers where he completed his education in the public schools of Baltimore, Maryland. Crosby was drafted in the United States Armed Service in February of 1962 and served until April of 1965. Crosby was a very friendly and easy going person who loved to converse, especially about his family and professional boxing. He was very well known in his neighborhood as a person willing to help any of them in need. In 1974, Crosby met Sheila Willingham. They were joined in holy matrimony on September 11, 1986. From this union, one son was born, Jawann. Crosby held numerous jobs, such as, working for Park Circle Chevy, City Water Bureau, Conrail and Amtrak Railway Systems from which he retired from in 1985.Crosby often about his time as a young boy. How his grandmother would take him to church and after being baptized she would read the bible to him. The family believes that Crosby loved the Lord because of his discussions with them about God and that he is resting in peace with God. He leaves to Mourn: his wife, Sheila; three sons, Crosby E. Parham, Lacel Parham and Jawann Parham; one daughter, Shonia Parham; six grandchildren, Ernell Jr., Jerell, Shatebra, Tyler, Jawann and Monya; three great-grandchildren; (one brother preceded him in death, Major Parham); one living brother, Willy H. Parham of Severn, Maryland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rev. Dr. George and Frances Brown; three brothers-in-law, Tyrone Willingham, Leon Clements and Charles McLeod: four sisters-in-law, Teresa McLeod, Linda Willingham, Natasha Clements and Barbara Parham; nephew, Rodney Walker; niece-in-law, Leah Walker; and a special uncle and aunt, Early and Ida Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
