Claudette Elizabeth Davis

Claudette Elizabeth Davis, 54, of Richmond, Virginia was born June 15, 1958 to Ivy Musgrove and the late Thomas Howell in Saint Ann’s, Jamaica. She was the first born of four siblings. On December 19, 2012 the Lord whispered quietly to Claudette, come home my child and she answered the call. Claudette graduated from Carol City High School in Miami, Florida and furthered her education at Bluefield College receiving the degree of Bachelor of Science in Richmond, Virginia. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, June 1976. At the age of 18 years old and was united with Antioch Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. She married her one and only love, Reginald Davis on April 1, 1979 in Ayers, Massachusetts. Claudette was employed by Powhatan Correctional facility as a Lieutenant for over 24 years. She was supervised under Major Scott also Sgt. Derrick Gohlson has contributed to her success. Her career advancement as Lieutenant at the Department of Corrections in the State of Virginia (Sussex I) was due to having the honor of working under her mentors, Warden Pearson and Major Scott. In her leisure, she enjoyed spending Reggie’s money. Claudette was a very caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister that loved her family. She took pleasure in cooking and preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her devoted husband, Reginald Davis; three daughters, Antionette and Shamika Davis and Ashley Davis; two sons, Rahieme and Raysen Davis; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; loving mother, Ivy Musgrove; three sisters, Rose Belle (George), Marlene Henley, and Nichole Haywood (Mandingo); a host of other relatives and an abundance of caring friends. Never Be Discouraged There is really nothing we need to know or even try to understand. If we refuse to be discouraged and trust God’s guiding hand. So take heart and meet each minuted with faith in God’s great love, aware that every day of life is controlled by God above... And never dread tomorrow or what the future brings, just pray for strength and courage and trust God in all things.
