Clara Eugene Anderson

Clara Eugene Sarah Droze Tucker Anderson, the fourth child of seven children born to the late Charles and Olive Gibbs Droze on April 9, 1921 in Summerville, South Carolina. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday 30, 2009.She attended the local schools in Berkley County, South Carolina. At the age of eighteen, Eugene migrated to New York City to study cosmetology. After graduating and becoming a licensed cosmetologist, she returned to South Carolina and joined in holy matrimony with Ivory George Tucker. To this union five children were born.At the age of seventeen, Eugene surrendered her life to Christ at the Brownsville Community Church of God where she was blessed and baptized. Along her life's journey, there were many deep hurts and disappointments. But she held on to God's unchanging hands. At the end, Eugene was victorious because God can do anything but fail.Eugene was an active member in the churches she attended. Namely Brownsville Community Church of God, Freeport Church of God, Far Rockaway Church of God and Celebration Church at Monroe. She was a Sunday School teacher, senior choir member, senior Usher, youth Counselor, faithful Missionary and a chosen 'Mother' of the Freeport Church of God. During her Christian walk through life's challenges, Eugene had a positive impact on many lives by reaching out to others with her time and sharing her God given wisdom.Eugene loved her family and was passionate about the family's motto: Truth, Righteousness and Togetherness. She worked tirelessly in organizing the First National Gibbs Family Circle Reunion. Eugene and her team established and enforced biblical standards and principles for the leadership of the Gibbs Family Circle. Over the years, these standards and principles have maintained dedication to the family's motto of Truth, Righteousness and Togetherness.Later in years Eugene was united in holy matrimony to Leonard Anderson. Leonard and Eugene were married for twenty two years. He was a kind and loving husband and stepfather.She leaves to mourn and cherish fond memories: one sister, Harvay Sinkler-Herring, and one brother, Charles Jerrel Droze; four children, three sons: Ivory E. Tucker, (Diane); Robert S. Tucker, (Jean); Stanley W. Tucker, (Cynthia); one daughter Lydia J. Hickey (Pat Tucker) Leslie Tucker (Deceased); 8 grandsons: Ivory Bishop, (Vivian); Ivory E. Tucker, Jr,; Jamiar Tucker, (Tiffany); Khary Tucker, R. Scott Tucker, (Yeruk); Dekel Tucker, (Danyett), Darion Tucker, and Mikel Tucker; 5 granddaughter; Renee Tucker, Melina Owens, R. Sher'ae Tucker, Kali Hickey and Keri Hickey, twenty two great grands, one great great grand and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
