Chontell D. Manns

Chontell Denise Manns, daughter of the late Darlene Manns and Robert Williams Sr., was born on June 10, 1971 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on May 22, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Chon, as she was affectionately known, received her formal education from Carver Vocational Technical High School. She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Education from Baltimore City Community College, a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Educational Science from University of Baltimore and a Masters Degree from Cappella University in Education. Styling hair was always her passion. She was able to express herself and build a steady client base at Tameka and Company in 1998. This was a very enjoyable time for her because it allowed her to work in a professional atmosphere that also became her extended family. In 2000, she began working in the Baltimore City Public School System at her alma mater, Carver Vocational Technical High School as a Cosmetology teacher. Chon fully enjoyed teaching and inspiring young men and women in how to achieve their maximum potential. This was also illustrated in her final position as an Education Counselor with the College Bound Foundation Program. Throughout her career she was known as a fun-loving person that always could make you smile as well as laugh at herself! Chon established friendships wherever she went. She was very creative and always would look at the business potential in any meeting. Chon cared about her family and close friends. To know Chontell was to love her. She could turn your hair into a Hollywood style in no time. She left an impact on many people in many different ways. Chon will forever be missed for her glitz, glamour, flashy outfits and rock star hair styles. Chontell will forever remain in the hearts of many. She leaves to cherish her memory: her twin daughters, Markita and Nikita Sutton; father, Robert Williams Sr.; brother, Robert Williams Jr.; sister-in-law, Nytrie Williams; grandmother, Virginia Manns; godmother, Helen Allen; and a special friend, Jeffery Davis along with a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
