Cheryl Annette Truitt

Cheryl Annette Truitt, was born on August 13, 1971 to the late Donald L. Truitt and the late Lenora H. Keen Truitt. She departed this life suddenly to enter her eternal rest on September 12, 2013. Cheryl received her education in Baltimore City Public School System. She was proud to be a Walbrook warrior, but later received her High School diploma from Ben Franklin School. Cheryl was baptized at an early age at New Union Baptist Church, and would occasionally attended services with her family at Spirit and truth Worship Center. Cheryl had many different jobs, including income taxes preparation. She had a special gift for helping others by cleaning and organizing. Out of all her various skills, she loved landscaping the most. Cheryl, affectionately known as “Pookie”, also dearly loved her family. Although she had no children of her own, she claimed all of her nieces and nephews to be her children. She had a special bond with them, and each birthday the children would look forward to Aunt Cheryl’s signature birthday card with money representing each year of age and an extra penny “to grow on”. Cheryl had a special friend, Daniel Oravec, who affectionately called her “Goddess”. Their unique relationship grew over nineteen years and she was at the center of his world. Cheryl is most remembered by her family as being pretty, outspoken and outgoing. She loved dancing with her nieces and nephews, and watching wrestling and football. She would often call to see if the family members and love ones had turned into the wrestling matching or the football game. She was a diehard fan for wrestlers Roman Raines and Randy Orton and the Baltimore Ravens football team. Cheryl was preceded in death by her young niece, Colie Virginia Truitt. Also, her father, Donald L. Truitt; maternal grandparents, Virginia and Berkley Keen, and paternal grandparents, Eleanor and Milton Truitt. As Cheryl joins those who have preceded her in death, she leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Cherlise Truitt (Jimmie), Charnette Truitt (Antonio), Cherina Stevenson, Lesley Williams (Donnie), and Sherita George; her brothers, Donald L. Truitt, Jr. and Horace Davis; brother-in-law, James Stevenson; sister-in-law, Tameasha Jones-Truitt; She also leaves aunts, nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, ad other relatives and friends.
