Charles O. Hebb

CHARLES OTIS HEBB, son of the late Hilda Marie Hebb and Charles “CW” William Lucas, was born on May 23, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on November 6, 2016 to go home. He was educated in Baltimore School System until 1960 when he and his mother moved to Brokklyn, New York. His first wife is Sharon Brannen, married in 1972, separated September 1990, divorced December 1, 1997. From that union, Brian O. Hebb and Tiffany C. Smalls were born. Tiffany has two daughters, Anya and Nyla. Charles enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1972, received and honorable discharge in 1974. He worked in New York as a welder and sheet metal fabricator for many years. Charles moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1990 with Charlene Hardy and married December 24, 1997. He worked as a contract Security Officer at federal facilities and in 2001 became a Federal Police Officer for Homeland Security and retired on September 30, 2016. Charles had such a beautiful collection of goldfish and tropical fish in three fish tanks. They added such beauty to our home. I enjoyed seeing his enthusiasm as he added to his collection and giving them a playground in each tank. He had a gym set up in the basement with a T.V. To enjoy as he exercised. Everyday he visited the thrift stores to pick up movies, dvds, and music cassettes. He has over 5,000 of them. Before I knew it, he built shelves all around the basement wall to place them on. It looked like you were in a Blockbuster and he had them placed in alphabetical order. He loved watching movies in his quiet times; we had movie night every Friday. Charles leaves to mourn: his wife, Charlene Hardy Hebb; step-daughter, Katrina (George) Abbott; granddaughter, Aaliyah; grandson, Joshua; son, Bryan Hebb; daughter, Tiffany Smalls; granddaughters, Anya and Nyla; sisters, Nejla Lucas Penny and Toni Lucas; brother, Charles “Chuckie” Lucas; uncles, JW, Willie, Zell (Malaney), Calvin (Jennifer), George (Ellen); aunts, Mary, Edith Curtis and Mary Saxon; step-mother, Roslyn Lucas; and a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
