Today we assemble to acknowledge and celebrate the new life unto which Charles Edward Bowman has entered, and eternal life in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.A Time to Born- Ecclesiastes 3:2CHARLES EDWARD BOWMAN was born May 23, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. “Dad” was the middle child of the late Clora and Robert Bowman. Charles was a family oriented, compassionate, and loving man to all.A Time to be Trained- Proverbs 22:6 “BO,” as he was affectionately called, was a product of the Baltimore City Public School System.A Time to be Saved-Romans 10:9 Charles gave his life to Christ and was baptized on October 22, 2004, at The Blessed Baptist Church of God, under the leadership of Pastor James Garrett. “Dad” was ordained a Deacon on November 5, 2009.A Time to Love-Ecclesiastes 3:8 At a young age Charles met and married Peggy Bond, and out of this Holy Matrimony six children were born; Diane, Charles Jr., Robert, Anthony, Ronald and Carrie.In later years Charles met and married Shirley Van Wright, and out of this union there were two children; Sandra and Kevin.A Time to Labor-Genesis 3:19“Dad’s” profession was one of many trades. He worked many jobs to support his family and himself. “Dad” retired from Meyer Seed Trucking Company and The Villa Marie. He was currently employed at Afro-American Newspaper. “Dad” entered the military at an early age. “Dad” served his country well, he served in the Vietnam War.A Time to Laugh and a Time to Dance-Ecclesiastes 3:4Charles loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed special occasions and events. “Dad” was also a very talented cook. “Dad” was known for his mac & cheese and cakes.A Time to be with Lord- Numbers 23:10Charles Edward Bowman went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2010. He leaves to mourn: his devoted children, Diane, Charles, Sandra, Robert, Anthony, Ronald and Carrie; sister, Shirley Frederick; two uncles, Clarence Tunstall and Sherman Conigland; three aunts, Myrtle Conigland, Hattie Tyson and Ella Thompson; three brothers-in-law, Albert Davis, Edward Davis and Elijah Washington; four daughters-in-law, twenty-four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
