Celebrating Life: On December 2, 1947, Catherine Virginia Davis (Kitty Kat) was awakened by the Master's gentle touch. She was awakened with a spirit of expectancy because she knew what God has promised her and she was ready. From that moment on she moved through life as one knew that she divinely favored. Her dress,her manner and her style would always have distinction. She had a unique charm and magnetism.Celebrating Wisdow: Catherine grew up in the Gravel Hill Community joining the Gravel Hill Baptist Church. she attained her early education in the Henrico Public Schools graduating in 1966 from Virginia Randolph School. She was a hard worker and was always looking for ways to advance her station in life.Celebrating Love: Catherine loved life and she loved people. Her love was was the kind that made people want to do more more for her. Her family and friends cared and comforted her to the very end.Celebrating Prosperity: Work was no stranger to Catherine as evidenced by her longevity with the US Government Postal Service. She worked there for 37 years at the Main Street Station,the Montrose Station and lastly the Airport Station. Her smile would always be a beacon to greet you when you went to conduct your business. Never one to be idle along with her job at the post office she worked at the Amoco& Seven -Eleven stores cooking some of the best-fried chicken this side of Eastern Henrico.Celebrating A Legacy:How do you define a legacy? Catherine was a lady who embraced life to the fullest. She enjoyed laughter and fun. Most of all she enjoyed following God's Greated Commandment,"Love your neighbor as you would yourself"! She did just that! She would go out of her way to,comfort and bring joy to her family and friends,always cooking and feeding anyone who was around her. Her smile was reassuring,her presence was comforting and her style of dress let ALL know that Madam Diva had arrived!Celebrating Family: Catherine leaves to cherish her love a caring daughter Monica Hollemon(Michael),son Marlon Davis(Monica,Fiance`);two step-children Kevin Davis and Terry Davis;five grandchildren,Tiara Marsh,Derrick Rand,Jr.,Marnesha Davis,Jewel Hollemon,Michael Hollemon,Jr.;five sisters Susie Porter(Ronald),Florence Johnson(Michael).Florine Brown,Sandra Brown,Joyce Johnson(Robert);three brothers one preceded in death Arthur Brown,Jr.,Ernest Brown(Charlotte),and Charlie Brown;five aunts,two uncles,a host of nieces and nephews,other relatives and caring friends. Along with a devoted friend John Davis.
