Carrollyn Ward

Carrollyn Lucille Ward, daughter of the late Sylvester and Naomi Foster, was born November 16, 1953. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and departed this life December 3, 2025 in Baltimore, Maryland. Carrollyn attended Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Baltimore City Community College. She worked and retired from Verizon. Carrollyn also worked at several care centers before leaving Verizon. She became an entrepreneur in 2003, when she opened her own day care. Later in life she became a caregiver for her husband as well as her mom until their death. She later went to work as a preschool teacher. Carrollyn married her teenage sweetheart after er marriage to the late Roscoe Ward, they adopted their niece Michelle who they had from birth. Michelle made Carrollyn so happy to be her mother. Carrollyn’s whole world changed when she became a mom. Michelle made her life complete and she went everywhere with her. Carrollyn was the secretary for the Imani Dancers at New Saint Mark Baptist Church, she also served as a greeter at Calvary Baptist Church and was the secretary for the Foundation Of Faith Sunday School which was held on Saturday mornings under the leadership of Deacon Kenneth Gray. Preceding her in death were her husband Roscoe Ward, brother William Foster, mother Naomi Foster, father Sylvester Foster, William Foster Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Michelle (Edward); granddaughter, Elaina Clark; grandson, Ma’Kai Clark; five sisters, Rosalyn Foster, Gwendolyn Lofton, Cheryl Wilson (Myron), Sonia Williams and Lillian Pompey; brother, Nathan Foster; three sisters-in-law, Gloria McGlaughin, Dale Williams and Tonia Thomas (Kevin); four brothers-in-law, Lawrence Ward, Renell Jackson Jr. (Pat), Joe Jackson (Paulette) and Terry Jackson (Lafonda); aunt, Bertha Burrell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks for their friendship and love: sister Cheryl, sister-in-law, Dale, Gloria, Klondike, Glenda, April, Shannon, special friend John Wright, sister Gray, and Pat Gordon.
