Carolyn Ann Satterfield- McDongald

Carolyn Satterfield- McDougald, daughter of the late Aaron Neblett and Rose was born on November 11, 1947 in Baltimore MD. Although she put up a brave fight, she succumbed to illness on Thursday, April 3, 2014. Carolyn who was affectionately called Mom-Mom, grew up in Baltimore, MD. She Graduated from Sollers Point High School in the class of 1964. She retired from Vulcan Hart after 22 years of loyal service. Carolyn was a loving wife, sister, mother. Grandmother, aunt, and loyal friend. A very important aspect of Carolyn's life was her family. She married her devoted husband, Willie McDougald, on November 11, 1989. she was looking forward to enjoying 25 years of marriage in November. Carolyn had three children and eleven grandchildren. She shared a unique relationship with each one of them. Whether it was her smile that made their day. The constant reassurance of her love, or the tenderly affectionate strokes that would put them to sleep., Mom- Mom made it clear that she genuinely loved her family. She was many things to many persons. She was a jokester; she loved to watch the movie” The Parent Trap”, listening to her grandchildren sing, and being a playmate during “Barbies and Weddings or nail Designs. There was nothing she wouldn't do for those in need, especially her family. Carolyn will be remembered for her positive attitude, strength, and humility. She was also forward thinking. In fact, while she was battling this serious illness, her thoughts were on planing to get home to make cornbread for one of the grandchildren and going on a “date” with anther. Another important part of Carolyn's life was her service to Jehovah God. After studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses, she symbolized her dedication by water baptism on June 1, 1976. she served as an auxiliary pioneer from time to time as circumstances allowed, and was regular with her meeting attendance despite enduring chronic illness. She was comforted by the truths she learned from the Bible and used those truths to comfort those who witnessed her suffering. She now awaits the time when” all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John5:28,29). Carolyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Aaron Neblett and Rose Jackson; siblings: Alvin, Michael, Melvin”Danny”, and Arnita. She leaves to cherish her Memory: her husband Willie McDougald; her children: LISA bell (Efrem); John Satterfield; Toya Satterfield-Gross(Theodore); siblings: Jerry, Ronald, Phillip”Curtis”, Tony (Marie), Bernadine, Cornell(Shirley), Denesia, and Linda” Lynn”; grandchildren: Shakira, Tayron, Dayshawn, Sharday, Lexus, John, Taniya, Tyren, Rane, Faida, and John Lee; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Carolyn truly left a lasting impression on all who met her. it is with deep sadness we are left to cherish her memory.
