Carolyn Marie "Wendy" Coleman

Ecclesiastes 3:1 A Time To Be Born Carolyn Marie"Wendy" Coleman was born on April 8,1964 in Richmond,Virginia to Nettie Coleman Tyler and the late Lawrence Jackson. She was preceded in death by two siblings,James(Jimmy) Coleman and Teresa (TeeTee)Coleman. A Time To Learn Wendy attended the Hanover County Public Schools. Her passion for driving led her to obtain a Commercial Driver's License. A Time To Love Wendy was married to Melvin Faison. Although they parted ways,they remained friends. She loved her family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to make their lives better. She loved having fun and always had something to say. There was never a dull moment while in Wendy's presense. She was well loved by many who knew her. Wendy loved the students who rode her school bus and the children in the community even though she had to set them straight at times. She loved planting flowers which was her favorite hobby. A Time To Serve At an early age,Wendy confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined Brown Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. James A. Lynch. She rededicated her life to the Lord in April 2010. Over the years,Wendy worked for a number of employers. For the last 14 years,she drove school bus for both Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Transportation. She was a dedicated school bus driver who always took on extra driving assignments. A Time To Shine Wendy was a good mother,grandmother,daughter,sister,aunt,sister-in-law and friend. She shined most when she was surrounded by her three grandchildren and great nephew who all called her "Nanny." She enjoyed having cookouts with her family and friends. Her children's friends were always welcomed in her home. Many of them called her "mom".She was a giver from the heart. A Time To Mourn On Monday evening,December 20,2010,Wendy was called from labor to rest. She quietly went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by family and friends at her bedside at home. A Time To Remember The precious memories of Wendy will forever be cherished by her devoted son,Jeremy Coleman and daughter,DeShawn Hawley;four stepchildren,Chante,Shana,Melvin,Jr. and Sharanda Taylor;three precious and devoted grandchildren,Jeremy Jr.,Jayla and Janae`Coleman;six step grandchildren,loving parents James and Nettie Tyler,three devoted siblings,Arlene Coleman,Angela Spurlock and Sylvester Coleman,Sr.(Shelby);two devoted nieces,Dionna Coleman and Denisha Spurlock;two devoted nephews,Devin Coleman and Sylvester Coleman,Jr.;one devoted great-nephew,Darius Coleman. She also leaves six aunts,Shirley Lewis,Gladys and Edith Coleman,Mary Graves,Dorothy Tyler,Nora Lee(Charles),two uncles Norris and Carol Lewis;devoted ex-husband/friend,Melvin Faison;devoted ex-brothers-in-law.Erwin Spurlock and Michael Faison;devoted cousins,Valerie Pryor,Samuel Lewis,Edith and Russell Pleasants.Elnora and Amy Timberlake,Jurkhaia Henderson,Ayanna Jackson,Julia Dendy;devoted friends,Ashley Williams,Ireatha Grimes,Dorothy Minor,Thelma Nelson,Patricia Avent,Byron Moore,Cheryl Brown,Daisy Moore,Jeanette Hunter and son Keytron,Lawrence Lewis,Jerry Harris,Betty Moore, and Mary Green. She also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
