Carole Anne Weems

Carole Anne McCormick Weems was born on August 26, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ezell and Annie McCormick. She was affectionately called Anne by family and friends. A TIME TO PLANT On march 24,1955, Anne gave birth to her only child, Micheal who became the light of her life. Micheal then blessed Carole's life with two grandchildren, Mekelle and Micheal. A TIME TO SOW, RENDER AND EMBRACE Anne was educated in the Baltimore City public school system. She was an avid reader and someone who thirst to further her lot in life. Therefore, she began her pursuit to further her education by garnering her Associates Degree and then proceeded to a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Coppin State University. While pursuing her education, Anne held several full time positions in varied industries, but nursing was her calling. She began employment with the Veterans Administration of Baltimore in 1968 and retired from there in 2006, after 37 years of service. Anyone who met or knew Anne could attest to her love of Micheal, flowers, eating out in restaurants, reading, movies and black artwork. The walls in her home are filled with famous prints. In fact, Micheal commented to here “ mom, you don't have any space for another print nowhere in this house”. Anne was very candid in her speech and you could count on her to give you an honest answer to questions. Her favorite expression was, “ well you see”, and then she would elaborate . Anne lived A “godly life” although she was not a part of an organized body of Christ. She believed in Jesus Christ and confessed him as her Saviour. She lived by His principles of treating others with respect, helping those in need, and showing compassion to the sick, showing love to others and treating others as you would want to be treated. Anne enjoyed times spent with her son, grandchildren, and friends in her home. She loved just being home relaxing and luxuriating in life. One can surely say that she was content in her life and brought enjoyment to herself everyday by doing whatever she wanted to do. A TIME TO SURRENDER Anne leaves to cherish her memory, her most precious gift, son, Micheal McCormcik; two grandchildren, Mekelle and Micheal, Jr; two great grandchildren , Ariel and Avery; Aunt, Eloise Springs; uncle, Johnny McCormick; cousins; a host of other relatives; special friends,Martha Allen, Ardena Johnson, Florine McCready-Lewis, and other friends. Your words of wisdom taught unforgettable lessons. Your caring spirit and constant love were always a blessings. You watched us grow up, You saw us change, And through it all you remained the same. The light of the family, we wouldn't have asked for more , Than a role model like you, to look up to and adore. Today our hearts are mourning, but heaven is at peace. We wish you were still here with us. But God has you where He wants you to be. WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS, MICHAEL,MEKELLE,MICHEAL JR, ARIEL AND AVERY.
