Those we love, they do not go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, Unheard, but forever so near. Still loved, Still missed, and they are Still very dear. Christian Walk … Brenda’s Christian Walk began in 1986 when she gave her life to Christ at the Richmond Christian Center. After the very first service, we ran out and bought Bibles. We had to do it twice though as we bought the wrong translation initially. She became very active in the ministry from the beginning. She used her gift of song as a member of the praise team, Agape. With her husband on the sound board and the mic in her hand, the praises went up. She was also a member of the RCC Mass Choir. In addition to her singing skills, she was a part of the decor ministry where her creativity for decorating was on full display in numerous floral arrangements around the sanctuary. A Time To Be Born … Brenda Wright was born in Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday, January 8, 1958. She gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, February 2, 2025, with her devoted husband at her side where he witnessed her take her last breath. Bitter moments followed her transition as he was consumed with grief realizing that death leaves a heartache that no one can heal but love leaves memories that no one can steal. A life we cherished, taken too soon. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Odessa Arrington Trent and Willie Gaston Arrington, and her sister, Debra Renee Arrington. A Time To Plant … Brenda was a beautiful spirit. Her colorful personality matched her vibrant fashion sense of style. Whatever color there was in the rainbow, she had an outfit to match it. Oh, and a handbag too. Brenda knew no strangers and welcomed everyone with open arms. Brenda used her creativity in the kitchen as well. Some of her signature dishes requested by many of her friends were fried cauliflower (It was so good that one of her friends mistakenly ate it raw) corn pudding, ground turkey dip, potato salad, broccoli salad and her Mom’s infamous pound cake. She never met a holiday that she couldn’t decorate for, especially Christmas. She was well sought after for her Christmas wreaths and overall interior decorating creativity. Undoubtedly, she made our house a home. A Time To Love … Brenda was truly a loving Wife, Daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She was affectionately referred to by her nephew as Aunt Bre and by her grandson as Bre Bre. She was like a second mother to her niece Nicole and their bond was indescribable. There was never an event or special moment in her life, where she was not by her side. For Brenda’s stepdaughter Monet, Brenda was a trusted confidant, unwavering cheerleader, and her strongest advocate. She always knew that before asking her dad for any big request, to run it past Brenda first. She knew just the right way to frame the request to guarantee he would say yes. Brenda was always moving whether she was on the dance floor or not. Most people knew her leg-up, bottom-down dance move. In addition, there wasn’t a line dance that she wouldn’t research until the music came on and she could perform it. There was always a song in her heart. Nothing she wore was more noticeable than her smile. Her smile was a genuine reflection of the joy in heart. It was the curve that set everything straight. To Brenda, everyone was “Sweetie”, “Luv”, or “Hon”. Albeit, the love of her life was THE HON. A Time To Learn … Brenda was educated through Richmond Public Schools and graduated from John Marshall High School, Class of 76’. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. She had a lifelong career with Philip Morris, starting in the legal department and progressing to a document control specialist and ending her tenure as a training coordinator. She retired from the company in 2019. Brenda was a master public speaker. There wasn’t a microphone that she would shy away from. She prided herself on completing the Toast Master’s program where she became Club President in 2011 and obtained numerous accolades throughout her association. A Time To Remember … Remembering you is easy, we do it every day. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away. Although GOD has dismissed our loved one from this place to dwell in HIS house, never will Brenda be dismissed from our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Ernest Wright, Jr., stepdaughter and son-in-love Monet Baker (Tyree), nieces Nicole Lucas (Kevin), Deja Wright (Laurant), Treecy Davis, nephew Jorjio Wright, grandson, Tristan Baker, great-nephews and niece Kevin Lucas Jr., Kingston and Delani Darbouze, and a host of other relatives and friends.
