Brenda J. Fisher

Brenda Joyce Fisher, was born on January 5, 1953. She was one of seven children born to Glascoe and Alma Pope in Franklin, Virginia. Her parents preceded her in death. Brenda and her family moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1963 and she received her education from the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from Forest Park Senior High School in June 1972. In 1980, Brenda was united in marriage to Leroy Fisher and they raised 5 children: Christina Danielle Saunders, Dwayne Antonio Fisher, Alma Faye Fisher, Raquel Gail Fisher, and Damon Daryl Fisher (who preceded her in death). Brenda was employed at various companies. Her latest was Allied Security and Baltimore Washington Airport, now known as Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, until her health prevented her from working. Brenda believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus in 1975 at Solid Rock Apostolic Faith Church where she was an active member until her death. Brenda truly loved the Lord. She was a faithful servant for the Lord; whatever her hands found to do in the House of the Lord, she did with joy. Brenda was always ready to go wherever help was needed without question. Brenda truly loved her spiritual and natural family. God blessed her with the gift of writing poetry, poems that she shared with her spiritual and natural families at various times and many occasions. Brenda's joy was helping others. Above all, Brenda was a true missionary; there was nothing that she would not do for anyone. Brenda Fisher was preceded in death by one son Damon Daryl Fisher, one sister, Mary Snowden, and one brother Hubert Anthony Pope. Brenda leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: her husband, Leroy Fisher, her three daughters, Christina Danielle Saunders, Alma Faye Fisher, and Raquel Gail Fisher; her son Dwayne Antonio Fisher; her sister, Linda Hope; her brothers, Glascoe Lee Pope, Jr. and Allen Ray Pope; two sister-in-laws, Laverne Pope and Cheryl Pope; one brother-in-law, James Hope; 15 grandchildren, 4 nieces, 4 nephews; 3 aunts, Virginia Hargrove, Francis Rawlings, and Marion Macklin; very special family friends Deborah Spears, Corrine McLarin, Janice Scurry, her Solid Rock Apostolic Faith Church Family, as well as a host of other family and friends.
