Bonnie Ann Morris Foreman

Bonnie Ann Morris Foreman was born on October 30, 1969, in Richmond, Virginia to the Reverend Dr. Melvin E. Morris and the late Linda Bradley Morris. From this union, they had three children Monica, Bonnie, and Justin. On October 30, 2024, Bonnie departed this life at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems, formerly known as the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). At an early age, Bonnie attended Pilgrim’s Journey Baptist Church where she accepted Christ as her personal savior. Bonnie attended Henrico County public schools and graduated from Hermitage High School in 1987. She participated in many activities in high school, to include being a Hermitage Panther Cheerleader and Wrestlerette. Bonnie graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Union University in 1991. Subsequently, she attended Pennsylvania School of Optometry and transitioned into pursuing nursing. She was accepted to Temple University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996. She worked as an Oncology Nurse for Temple University Hospital at the beginning of her career and later received her license in Nursing from Virginia Board of Nursing and began working at Medical College of Virginia, now, Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems in the Mother Infant Unit where she worked for over 27 years. She received numerous accolades for her exemplary service as a registered nurse and was well-loved by staff and patients. On December 28, 1992, Bonnie married Steve Foreman, III. They have been married for nearly 32 years. From this union, they had one child, Olivia Lynda Foreman. Bonnie was a resident of Glen Allen, Virginia. She later started attending Abundant Life of Christ Church (ALCC) and accepted the right hand of fellowship in the early 1990’s. She became a member where her in-laws, Apostle Steve Foreman and the late Lady Olivia Foreman, were pastors. Mrs. Foreman was an active member of ALCC where she served as an advisor to the church regarding health and nutrition through the Abundant Lifestyle Health Ministry. She led health clinics, conducted health screenings and helped with blood drives at the church. Bonnie also taught workshops to educate parishioners at the Power-Filled Women Conferences. She taught Children’s Church and also sang in the Adult Choir. Bonnie was one of our queens and precious jewels of our family. We will miss her beauty, love and that beautiful smile that could light up a room, but most of all just her being. She leaves to cherish her memory: • her husband - Steve I. Foreman, King William County, VA • brothers-in-law - Adrian ‘Gary’ Foreman (LaTanya); and Isaac Edgerton • sisters-in-law - Kimberly Foreman Smith (Otis); Monique Foreman Folston (Ira) • and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers and friends. Bonnie’s life had a profound and significant spiritual impact which is evident by her having the same birth and death date. There is a spiritual meaning that can include themes of transition, spiritual rebirth, divine timing, and the interconnectedness of life events. This phenomenon is often perceived as a full circle – the concept of a life coming to its natural and complete conclusion. This special occurrence is culturally believed to mean that one has completed their life’s mission. Bonnie fought a good fight. She finished her course. She kept the faith. Now, she will get her crown. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 7) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
