Bo Jack Martin

On Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, BOJACK MARTIN of Baltimore, Maryland was called to eternal rest. BoJack was born to the late Mann and Fannie Martin on 04/29/47 in Gaston, North Carolina as the tenth of eleven children. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Banks, Ida Garry and Lucille Phillips; four brothers Curtis Martin, Moses Martin, James Martin and Herman Martin; sister-in-law Magnolia Webb and grandson, Gerald Wilson Jr. He obtained his education through the public schools of Northampton County. While raising a family and working full time, he attended night school in Baltimore, Maryland to further his education. He was hired by the Baltimore City Department of Public Works, where he worked his way up through the ranks and became a Grounds Crew Leader. He worked for the city for over 30 years. BoJack came to know the Lord and joined the Southern Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus Rev. Nathaniel Higgs. He continued to grow under the televised teaching of Bishop Donte L. Hickman Sr. of Southern Baptist Church. In 1979 BoJack and Dorothy were united in holy matrimony and enjoyed 46 years of wedded bliss. During those years they enjoyed laughter, cried together in sorrow, raised three beautiful children and help raised their grandchildren. BoJack and Dorothy never left each other side. BoJack was a quiet man who loved to watch the old classic Western movies. All who knew and loved BoJack will miss his quiet spirit, sense of humor, willingness to help and his strong work ethic. Many family members and friends can speak positively of his dedication in all things. Treasured memories of his love will remain as a legacy for family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Dorothy Martin; three children, daughters, Tammy Pair and Sandra Bartee (Bryant Bartee) and son, Keith Martin; sister-in-law, Cora Ferguson (Edward C. Ferguson); brother-in-law, Troy Pair; grandson, Dionte Reed; grandchildren, Bryant Bartee Jr., Brandon Bartee Sr., Tyasia Pair; great-grandchildren, Gerald Lamont III, Shakyra Coleman, Brandon Bartee Jr., Bella Bartee; two brothers, Leroy Martin and Jim Martin; sister, Mable Weaver and two nieces whom he loved like his sisters, Roseline Taylor (Fermer Taylor) and Etta Fordham; a host of others nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
