Obituary Those we love, they do not go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, Unheard, but forever so near. Still loved, Still missed, and they are Still very dear. Beverly’s Christian walk began at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in the early 60’s where she gave her life to Christ. Beverly became a faithful member of the Richmond Christian Center in the late 80’s. She enrolled in the Bible Institute and School of Ministry where she completed 3 years of Bible training and received her Diploma in 1998. Excepting the call of GOD on her life while being committed to the mass choir, she continued her studies and was ordained as a Minister of Faith Alive International Ministries in 2003. Beverly continued her walk with GOD and became a member of Worship and Praise Deliverance Church in 2013 where she continued her study of GOD’S word. She was ordained as a Licensed Minister in 2014 and was recognized for completing the Art of Teaching and Preaching in 2015. A Time To Be Born … Beverly Ann Wright was born on Wednesday April 12, 1939, in Richmond, Virginia. She gained her heavenly wings on Monday, April 8, 2024, surrounded by her devoted son Ernest Jr., and her loving daughter-in-love Brenda, where they witnessed her take her last breath. A unique moment considering a rare Total Solar Eclipse and the total healing of her body took place on the same day … Heaven! She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and William Graham Sr., husband, Ernest Wright Sr, sons Harold Graham and Keith Wright, brothers, Shirley and Freddie Graham, sister Marian Robinson Merriweather and brother William Graham, Jr. A Time To Plant … Beverly was a beautiful spirit. A lady on a mission who was very focused. A no nonsense go getter. No one could change her mind but GOD. Her “Yay” was “Yay” and her “Nay” was her “Nay!” She was very influential, high fashion-minded and very particular about her appearance. Her hair, nails, clothes, and jewelry made a statement. Beverly was a ‘masterful cook’. Everyone ate good including her dog “Lady” of sixteen years who passed away six months ago. “Lady” ate better than most. Yes, hot home cook meals from the stove daily. Ernest Jr. often complained that she would cook for his sister, “Lady”, but not for him. To that she would reply, “You got a wife”. A Time To Love … Beverly was truly a loving Daughter, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and friend. She would always refer to her daughter-in-love, Brenda, as “The daughter she never had”. She was a confidant and would hold to your deepest secrets. She was always praying for and concerned about others. She studied the word of God and spoke it daily over her life and in the lives of so many others. Always confessing the goodness of GOD. She was loved and adored by ALL in the Christian community as well as her close circle of friends whom she adored. She would often say “if I told you all the things that GOD has done for me, we would all miss work and church tomorrow.” A Time To Learn … Beverly was educated through Richmond Public Schools and graduated from Maggie Walker. She had a strong background in Supervision. She worked for 37 years at The Westvaco company and was a spokesman for Westvaco and Philip Morris USA companies as well as one of the 1st Black Supervisors at Westvaco. Through her faith in GOD, ALL the honor went to GOD for landing this position as a supervisor. She would tell everyone “I didn’t have the qualifications, but I had JESUS … and Guess Who Got the Job.” A Time To Remember … Although GOD has dismissed our loved one from this place to dwell in HIS house, never will Beverly be dismissed from our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memories of a devoted Son and Caregiver Ernest Wright, Jr. (Brenda); Sisters Elizabeth Coles and Louise Graham Thomas (Victor); Grandchildren Monet Baker, Deja and Jorjio Wright and Treecy Davis; 11 Great grandkids; 9 Great-Great grandkids; and host of other relatives and friends.
