Beverly Ray Peterkin

Beverly Ray Peterkin was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 11, 1948 to the late Leroy and Rachel Stanley. Beverly was educated in the Baltimore City school system. She graduated in 1966 from Edmondson High School. In her union with Bethel Smith, her son Craig and Julia were born. On November 14,1996 Beverly married the love of her life Dwayne Peterkin and in that union, she took to heart his three loving children, Dea, Shaina, and Dwayne II. Family was important to Beverly. She was the glue that kept the family together. She loved hosting events for her friends and family, anything to be together. She showed her love thru her beautiful contagious smile. She loved sending greeting cards to love ones. If you ever received a card from her it was sealed with her signature lipstick print of her lips sending you love and kisses. She was loving and kind. She wanted everyone to forgive anyone who did them wrong. She was a ray of sunshine. Beverly was a classy lady. She enjoyed getting dressed up and she loved a good handbag. Her hair was her crown and glory. She also loved blessing others with her cooking and baking. She loved making birthday cakes for family and friends’ birthday. Beverly had many hobbies. In her early adult years, she loved playing cards. Tonk was her favorite card game. She also played softball with her coworkers from Planned Parenthood. She belonged to several bowling leagues. She was an avid bowler, bowling several days a week. Beverly was a Phlebotomist. She worked at Planned Parenthood, from there she worked for Park West Medical Center and Quest Diagnostic. Beverly retired from Quest in 2014. Beverly loved the Lord. She was baptized in her late 20’s at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Beverly often followed her brother Evangelist Clarence Morton as he preached at various churches. On December 15th she departed this life on earth. Beverly was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Leroy and Rachel Stanley, mother in law Hannah Jane Peterkin, brother, Clarence Morton, sister, Corrine Stanley and nephew, Lamont Young. Beverly leaves to Cherish her loving husband, Dwayne Peterkin, her children Craig(Yolanda)Smith, Julia(Leslie)Morris, Bonus children, Dea Peterkin, Shaina Mooshian and Dwayne Peterkin II, her sweet grandchildren, Craig Smith, Aries Morris, Julisha Morris and Leslie Morris II, J’India Peterkin and Jayceon Peterkin, brother, Leroy(Cecilia) Stanley, sister, Bercille Richards, sister in law Bettie Morton, sister in law, Wanda(Col.Earl Wyatt), Brother in law, Nathaniel(Stephanie) Peterkin; her great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and anyone who loved her.
