Beulah Archable

Beulah Ruth Perry Archable was born on March 13, 1922 to Robert L. Perry and Blanche (Bishop) Perry in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the third of their five children (Leola, Robert, William, and Elizabeth). She was raised with four other children from her mother’s previous union (Earl, Eugene, Mary and Blanche). She graduated from Douglass High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Beulah exchanged wedding vows with Bonnie Lee Archable on June 11, 1949. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 11, 2001. Their union was blessed with six children: Angela, Beverly, Crystal, Pamela, Rodney and Freddy. Beulah eagerly embraced Bonnie Lee’s eldest son, Aaron as her very own. Her beloved Bonnie departed this life on August 2, 2001. After many years working as a nursing assistant, she earned her LPN degree through a Maryland State sponsored program in 1973. She was employed at Montebello State Hospital and retired in 1983 after nineteen years of service. Beulah became a member of Gillis Memorial Christian Community Church in 1945. She served in various capacities throughout nearly 57 years of membership. She was currently Treasurer of The Friendly Group, Vice President of The Busy Bees, and Honorary Member of Just Us Girls and the Missionary Auxiliary. She was previously a member of the usher board. Beulah enjoyed traveling, shopping, solving word puzzles and being with her family and friends. She experienced fulfillment through baking cakes for family. She was actively involved in programs at the Rosemont Towers Senior Center. Beulah departed this life on Monday, December 3, 201. She leaves six children, Angela, Beverly, Crystal, Pamela, Rodney and B. Frederick; one step-son, Aaron Powell; one son-in-law, Calvin Morrisey; one daughter-in-law, Sharon; nine grandchildren Traci, CJ, Maisha, Aaron, Omari, Zakirah, Wazir, Kai and Austin; four great-grandchildren, Tiana, Trinity, Unyque, and David; one brother, Robert Perry; two sisters, Leola Bland and Elizabeth Alston; two brothers-in-law, Sylvester and Matthew; four sisters-in-law, Bert Perry, Carrie Lee Archable, Mildred Archibald, and Elaine Archable; many nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and friends. She also cherished special friendships with Violetta Wade and Sara Fleming.
