Betty Delores Moore

Betty Delores Moore, daughter of Catherine Taylor and the late Thomas H. Taylor, was born December 6, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland. On January 9, 2010, she made her transition from the earthly tabernacle to her heavenly home.Betty was the third of eight brothers and sisters. Three siblings preceded her in death: Gloria Feaster, Herbert and Ronald Taylor. Betty graduated from Frederick Douglas Senior High School in 1964.She met and married the late Timmie Lee Moore, Sr. on April 1, 1967 and from this union four children were born: Timmie Jr., Kim Renee, Brian Curtis Moore (deceased) and Lisa Danielle.Betty accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at Christian Memorial Baptist Church. On March 3, 1974, Betty transferred her membership to New Life Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher, Children Ministry Advisor, Young Adult Missionary and a member of the Usher Board.Aunt Betty, as she was affectionately called by everyone, worked many years in the retail industry, but her passion was working with children. After caring for her siblings, nieces, nephews and the children in the community, she was inspired to seek a license in Early Childhood Development. Betty received her license in February 2008 and started Betty's Kiddie Kastle.Aunt Betty loved to laugh, spend time with family and entertained anyone who came in her presence. Betty enjoyed music, soap operas, Oprah and talking on the phone. Betty treasured her mother, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.Aunt Betty was loved and will be truly missed by all who knew her.Betty leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Timmie, Jr.; two daughters, Kim and Lisa Moore; eight grandchildren, Krystal, Brian, Omari, Kwame, Rashard, Bria, KaJuan and Jaylen; four great-grandchildren, Karim, Darius, Kylie and Miracle; her mother, Catherine Taylor; two sisters, Kathy Timmons and Jacqueline Taylor; two brothers, Michael and Carroll (Joe) Taylor; mother-in-law, Christine Moore; brother-in-law, Robert Moore; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Taylor and Jacqueline Byrd; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
