Bernice Williams

Bernice Williams was born March 9, 1940, daughter of late Jasper and Elouise Davis. She departed this life July 23, 2024. Bernice was one of three siblings, the late Tyrone Davis Sr. and Viola Davis-Hall. Bernice was a lifelong resident of East Baltimore. She graduated from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in 1958. Afterwards she worked over 10 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital as an Operating Technician. Then she attended CCBC to study Business Administration while working for Social Security Administration, from which she retired after 25 years. In May 1966, she met the love of her life Ronald Bobbie Williams Sr., and out that union came three loving children; Tamer Williams-Gilliam, Ronald Bobbie (Mike) Williams Jr. and Quinn Williams. To Bernice family was everything. She spent her entire childhood on Bond Street and Kenwood Avenue surrounded by all her cousins. She spent many summers in a RV traveling with her siblings and children across the country. Bernice enjoyed shopping trips, particularly to the thrift stores where she would get her stylish hats. She also took many trips to Atlantic City to win "big money." After retirement, Bernice became a day care provider and foster mom. She continued to travel with her son Mike, foster children, and grandchildren. Bernice had a big and loving heart. She always welcomed her home to her family. She was the center of the Davis-Williams family. She was a strong woman even during her transition. Today we will be honoring Bernice, well-loved and will be remembered by all who share in her legacy. Bernice was preceded in death by her son Mike and husband Ronnie. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Quinn (Connie) and Tammy (Joseph); bonus children, ,Adrienne White, Kamau Kwabena Iandiataiyero and Paul White Jr.; grandchildren, Tameshia (Darryl), Madu, Jaesha, Deborah (Chris), Robert, Ronald, and Anaya; great-grandchildren, Neliyah, Lyric, Ameria, Javaughn, Cameren, Riley and Ronald, and Demir. She is also survived by her devoted cousin, Mary Cruse (Weasie) Jean Taylor (Love), Marcia, Barbara; a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will continue to cherish her in memory
