Belvin Roderick Cuffee, Sr.

On Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at his home, God sent an angel to summon his child, Mr. Belvin Roderick Cuffee, Sr. to be home with him in paradise; away from all the pain and suffering this life had to offer. Belvin was born on Monday,June 15,1953 to the late Constantine Cuffee and Mary Leathia Cuffee-Wilson in Norfolk County (Chesapeake), VA. As a youth he attended Gabriel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Chesapeake, VA. After moving to Richmond, VA he attended, St. John's United Holy Holiness Church, and St. Peter Baptist Church. After graduating from Crestwood High School, Chesapeake,VA in 1971, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Prior to moving to Richmond, VA, he worked at St.Joe Paper Company, Chesapeake, VA for many years. Once in Richmond, VA he worked at Chesapeake Containers. In September 1980 he began his over 34 years of service e at Philip Morris USA. Belvin was married to the late Arisona Denise Hill Cuffee on,September 27, 1979. From the union one son was born, Belvin Roderick Cuffee, Jr. "BJ'. Belvin was loving and caring;always willing to go the extra mile for someone else,especially for his family. Family meant the world to him. He was a joy to be around, he was truly the life of the party. Always making sure all around him both old and young had a good time.He truly enjoyed entertaining his family and friends at his home. He loved playing card games; Bid Whist,Tonk,Spades, and Phase 10. On Wednesday mornings he could be found the bowling alley with his "C" shift Philip Morris co workers, hanging out on the softball field or at Kings Dominion: He enjoyed sitting in his recliner watching sport -one of his favorite things to do was to be in the stands at a Washington Redskins home game. He was preceded in death by his wife,Arisona Denise Hiill Cuffee, three brothers,Bernard Cuffee, Linwood Cuffee; and Odell Cuffee,and stepfather; Curfew Wilson. He leaves to continue his legacy,his son, Belvin R. Cuffee, Jr., Richmond, VA;three brothers, Angelo C. Cuffee (Connie),.Richmond, VA; Russell V.Cuffee,Sr.(Catherine), Chesapeake, VA; Wayne M.Cuffee (Jennifer},Palm Coast, FL; and three sisters,Deloris C, Spence,Chesapeake,VA; Brenda·R.Browder{his twin}, Chesapeake, VA; and Trina M .Cuffee-Tripp(George), Chesapeake, VA.; Four sisters-in- law,Joyce Cooper (George},Elizabeth City, NC; Beverly Hill, Raleigh, NC; Cecelia Crockett (William) and Brenda Ramcheran, Mount Vernon, NY: two brothers-in-law,Henry A. Hill (Mary Francis}, Roper, NC and Rev Alvin B.Hill {Eloise) Loma Linder, CA.
