Barbara I. Ingram

BARBARA INGRAM, the beloved daughter of the late Donnie and William Watson was born on January 29, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lord in His infinite wisdom, called this child of God from labor to reward on September 1, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Barbara attended Daniel A. Payne Elementary School and Harvey Johnson Junior High. She received her High School Diploma after graduating from Southern High School. Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Johnny R. Ingram on Marc 20, 1967. To this union one daughter was born, Tonya Ingram. Barbara was united in holy matrimony to Johnny R. Ingram on March 20, 1967. To this union one daughter was born, Tonya Ingram. Barbara had a strong work ethic. Over the years she was employed in several occupations. She worked at Vectra Corp, General Electric, Baltimore City Public Schools as a substitute school teacher, and also as a Home Health Care Provider. She sincerely believed in earning an honest living to meet the needs of her family. In her early years, Barbara attended church at Leadenhall Baptist Church and Southern Baptist Church. During the late 1970's, she began to faithfully attend the services at Victory Prayer Chapel. Her love for the Lord was evident to all that knew her. Soon after, she became a member of the church family ministry and was ordained as an evangelist. Evangelist Ingram was truly a worker in God's Kingdom. In the Victory Prayer Chapel No. 2 church under the leadership of the late Pastor Rosalie Hamlet, she served as a Pastor's Helper and a Sunday School Treasurer and Co-President of the Nursing Home Ministry. Her dedication to souls also drew her to work with the Prison Ministry. The Victory Prayer Chapel family will remember her "high praises" unto the Lord. She loved to give God the Glory whenever the opportunity presented itself. Her church family will miss her and the joy she brought in praising the Lord. Evangelist Ingram was devoted to her family. She was always doing something to bring joy to them. Her caring spirit was a comfort to those in need. She loved to cook, sing, sew, shop, and attend Gospel Cruises and Gospel Events sponsored by the Heaven 600 Radio Station. Evangelist Ingram was preceded in death by her siblings Katherine Johnson, Gladys Robinson, Rebecca Watson, Shirley Reese, Muriel Irene Sykes, and Leolia Mayers. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving and devoted son, Troy Watson, her daughter, Tonya Ingram; her grandchildren, Troy Jr. Antwan, Carroll, Cameron, Dayvon, Trayvon, Asia Troy III, Duwan, Aleah, Demetres Jr., Dallis and Dream; her brother, William Watson (Gwendolyn); her sister, Goldie Harris (Phillip). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a loving Church Family.
