Audrey Lee Holmes

Audrey Lee Holmes of Baltimore, Maryland went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2010. She was born on June 16, 1955, the oldest of seven siblings, to Ruth Wilson and the late Arthur Gamble in City Hospital located in Baltimore, Maryland. She was educated at Saint Francis Catholic School, Saint Bernard Catholic School and later enrolled in the public school system at Clifton High School prior to furthering her education at Job Corps.On November 23, 1982, she married Robert Holmes who taught her a new meaning for the word life and they taught each other a new way to laugh. They surrendered themselves to each other whole heartily and they completed each other in a way that will never be known.She grow up in Baltimore city. Her main love and passion was music and singing, even though playing cards and reading was her special interest. Anyone that knew her knew how much she loved to go to Pimlico Race Track, the Preakness, playing Keno and playing the daily Lottery really just keep a smile on her face.Audrey and her mother spent many inseparable, beautiful, and joyful years together. Ruth will cherish those memories all the days of her life for those moments showed all the love that God gave to Audrey. There were many years of tears, but God brought Audrey and Ruth through it all. There are no regrets from the years they shared because they knew God was in control.She leave to cherish her memory her mother, Ruth Wilson; step father, Benjamin Wilson; six sisters, Sondra Wilson, Darlene Hawkins (Whalen Hawkins), Angela Wilson, Brenda Wilson, Sheila Wilson, and Rosalee Wilson; two brothers, Robert Wilson (Re Donnaaaa Wilson), Earl Ellison, preceded her in death; three aunts, Elizabeth Veney, Theresa Veney, and Thelma Langley; one uncle, Samuel Veney; one best friend, Mary Canty.She loved all ten niece's and three nephew's dearly without a doubt. No matter what they were all special in her heat. Tawanda Burks, Kewanda Wilson, Tachina Wilson, Paris Wilson, Anthony Ferguson, Nicolette Wilson, Dominique Higgins, Courtney Hawkins, La'Shae Germany, Chanteria Hawkins, Unique Richardson, Cheyenne Hawkins and Kashmia Austin. Also a host of cousins and friends that she enjoyed communicating with daily.Audrey will be deeply missed, and there will never be a day that she isn't remembered for her kindness and gentle nature of helping other people. She will always be remembered for saying, “This is Audrey I'm just calling to check in to say I Love you.”
