Archie Bagby, Jr.

The Obituary Archie Leon Bagby, Jr., 61 years old, departed his earthly dwelling and entered his eternal rest on February 19, 2025. It was a peaceful transition. He began his life’s journey on September 26, 1963, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Archie Leon Bagby, Sr., and Dorothy Mae Bagby. Archie accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Fair Oaks Baptist Church in Highland Springs, Virginia. He was educated in the Henrico County Public Schools system and graduated from Highland Springs High School, Class of 1982. Archie helped manage his mother’s business, Dot’s Mini Mart. He worked at Marine Development/Taylor Made from 1993 to 2010 and was also employed by Certified Services Company Fire and Restoration. His favorite pastimes were attending drag racing events and supporting his beloved football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Archie met the love of his life while working at his mother’s store. One day, Tarsh walked in to buy soup and medicine. Curious, he asked, “What are you taking?” With a smile, she replied, “If I had a good man, I wouldn’t be sick.” She handed him her number, and their love story began in 1991. Six years later, in 1997, Tarsh married Archie, her good man. Together, they built a life and a family; they joined Mount Tabor Baptist Church in 2011, where they found a loving community and deepened their faith. Their time in church became a source of strength, guiding them through life’s joys and challenges. Remaining to cherish his memories are his wife, Tarsh M. Bagby; three sons, Archie Leon Bagby, III, twins, Jordan Anthony Bagby, and Justin Lee Bagby; mother, Dorothy Mae Rogers; devoted sister, Shyvonne Elaine Bagby; mother-in-law, Rosezellar Tucker; sister-in-law, Rebecca Rollins (Dwayne); brothers-in-law, Kelvis Tucker (Carolyn); Fred Tucker, Friendoll Tucker, Jr. (Nicole); aunts, Robinette Hubbard, Irene Davis (Edward Sr.), Delores Hubbard-Satchell, Margie Henderson, Sandra Sharpe; uncles, John Bagby, Leroy Hubbard, Maurice Hubbard (Nancy), Michael Hubbard (Melissa), David Young, Sr. (Andrea); devoted cousins, David Young, Jr. (Renee), Andrew Bagby (Gloria), Robin Hubbard; devoted friends, Preston and Anthony Upshaw; best friend, Darrell Fields (Francis); a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends
