Anthony H Harvey

ANTHONY “TONY” HERBERT HARVEY was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on April 3, 1959 to Andrew R. Harvey Sr. and Mallie G. (Covington) Harvey. He was the second of eight children. Tony graduated with his diploma from Martin Luther King Jr. High School. He began his first job at Franklin & Simon on Chelton Avenue at the age of 16. A year later, Tony began his career at JC Penny where he started as a floor sales associate and worked his way up to management. His career at JC Penny lasted for a little over 20 years. After moving to Baltimore, Maryland in the late 90s, Tony began his career at the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) as a customer service supervisor. He remained at PEPCO until his earthly departure. Anthony Harvey made his transition to paradise due to natural causes on March 20, 2026 surrounded by his family and love. Tony’s most important role in life has been that of a devoted son, dedicated brother, and nurturing uncle father. Tony was the pillar of his family. He gave his all and sacrificed greatly in service to his family. Most notably, he cared for his mother in her last days and stepped up to be a part of the village that raised his nieces and nephews, in particular, raising his niece Sheyenne since she was a baby. The loss of Tony’s presence is felt like a shockwave through his family. It will be a strange world without him in it, but there is comfort in knowing that he is no longer in pain and that the love and care he gave to us will be felt for a lifetime. We love you Anthony. To cherish his memory, Anthony Harvey leaves: his step-mother, Pattie Louise Harvey; his siblings, Eric Harvey (brother), Ronald Harvey (brother), Sheila Harvey (sister), Venius Cooper (sister), and Verlie Harvey (sister); the nieces and nephews he cared for, William Eldridge Jr. (nephew), Syreeta Eldridge (niece), Sheelah Eldridge (niece), Shaniqua Godbolt (niece), Shanelle Godbolt (niece), Sheyenne Godbolt (niece/daughter), Jazzavier Robertson (nephew), Romello Robertson (nephew), Tianna Harvey (niece), Nzinga Robertson (niece), and James Robertson (nephew); and a host of other nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Anthony Harvey is preceded in death by his parents Andrew Sr. and Mallie Harvey and his brothers Kenneth Harvey and Andrew (Andy) Harvey Jr.
