Annie D. McLean

Annie Deloise McLean was called home on September 1, 2003. She was born on October 17, 1935, in Fayetteville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Nicholson and Elijah Thompson and the older of two children. Later moving to Baltimore where she continued her education in Baltimore City public schools.In 1972 she received her High school Diploma and with continued cashier training at the Old Poly Western High School in which she became the first cashier P.A.S. Small Company, known as “Super Pride.”She later moved to the Washington, DC area where she worked for four years until becoming disable due to back injury. Annie also worked for YMCA.After various studies and training’s she became a student of the Sojourner Douglas College where she was striving to achieve her BA in Business Administration and Management where she was honored with numerous academic achievements. Her goal was to have her own transportation business.Annie joined the Mt. Calvary Star Baptist church in 1980 and was baptized under then pastor Dr. Alex Young Senior. But in later years she moved her membership to First Apostolic Faith Church under Bishop Franklin C. Showell and was baptized again on April 7, 1990., and received the Holy Ghost, April 23, 1991., where she enjoyed worshiping until the Lord called her home.Cherishing her memory are: four daughters, Rev Charlene Thompson of Baltimore, MD, Shirley M. Lawson-Bradley of Washington, DC, Elveeta Johnson of Baltimore, MD and Yvonne Johnson of Washington, DC; one sister, Grace Blue Teague, of Baltimore, MD; two sons-in-law, Rev. Robert J. Thompson and Jeffrey Bradley: eight grandchildren, Monica D. Williams, Jennifer I. Thompson, Rachael L. Hayman all of Washington, DC, Nikita L. Johnson, Zsavonne Johnson, Johns Johnson, Chanelle Johnson and Cherelle Anderson all of Baltimore, MD; one step-grandchild, Amanda Williams-Fair of Baltimore, MD; seven great-grandchildren; Ashley France, Shanae Thompson, Erika Hayman, Kevin Thompson, Malik Thompson, Eric Hayman Jr., Aniya Davis and one on the way; one nephew, Warren Blue of Baltimore, MD; three great-nieces, Sherie, Silva and Jessica Blue; one great-nephew, Warren Blue Jr.; one uncle, Malcolm Blue of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a host of family and friends.
