Annette Yvonne Davis-Sample

Annette Yvonne Davis Sample, the daughter of James Raymond Davis, and the late Ruby Elizabeth Davis, was born on July 25, 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland.Annette received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools. Later she went on to earn her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate by the State of Maryland. Annette went o to work for various agencies, which included Staff Builders and recently Prince George’s County Department of Social Services. She had a great compassion for all of her clients and took great pride in her job.In 1980, Annette married William G. Sample and during that union she had three wonderful children, Salá, Ambika and Omar.Annette had a passion fro Jazz Music, Modern Dance, Painting Ceramics, and Crochè. In her early childhood years Annette was a part of the Westside Cadets Marching Band. Annette loved her children and took great pride in their achievements and individualities. When it came to her children extracurricular activities she was like a “Soccer Mom” which included: Girl Scouts, Boy Scout, Baseball and Basketball. Annette was a throbbing force in helping her children achieve their individual academic goals. She was a proud wife and mother, who only wanted the best for her family. Annette was a loving Soul mate to her husband and “The engine that kept her family on track.” In 2004, she became the proud grandmother of Jaiden Nasiah Kelley. Annette had a great unconditional love for her great-great niece Tajjah Aliyah Randall who she had a helping hand in caring for.Recently Annette received a Human Service Aide Award in 2005from the Department of Social Services. Annette was unparallel in her efforts for caring for others. She had a big heart, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to help anyone in his or her time of need.Annette Sample attended Ebenezer A.M.E. Church in Fort Washington, Maryland.Annette leaves to cherish her loving memory her father James R. Davis, her devoted husband, William G. Sample; three children, Salá R. Sample, and Omar G. Sample; grandson, Jaiden Nasiah Kelley; her four sisters and four brothers, Amber Snowden, Lyndra Sparrow, Denise Brown, Raymarlyn Curtis, Gregory Davis, Aaron Davis, Jarrett Davis and Jeffery Davis; three brothers-in-law, Herman Snowden, Rev. Clifton e. Sparrow, Sr., Wayne Brown; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Davis and Phyllis Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
