Annabelle Williams

ANNABELLE LINDSAY WILLIAMS was the loving daughter and the youngest of eight children born to the late Ruben and Bessie Lindsay. Annabelle was born on October 12, 1927 in York, South Carolina and departed this life onSaturday, January 28, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was educated in York, South Carolina where she developed a love for teaching and passed it on to anyone she met. On December 25, 1945, Annabelle married the late Thomas Edward Williams, Sr., the love of her life. They moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1957 to start a new life. From this loving union were born three sons, Thomas Edward Jr., Ronnie Stephan and Brian; and two daughters, Veronica and Keyona. Annabelle received Christ at the early age of twelve. In the early nineteen seventy’s she joined Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church and became an active member. Annabelle was an Usher, Head Deaconess, Senior Choir member, Fifty Plus Club and was part of the Hospitality Committee. She received so much joy and happiness being a faithful member. She looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed her daily prayer with her faithful prayer partner, Sister Annie. She took pride in being an outstanding wife, great mother and care giver.No matter how unpleasant the world was, her family always found peace whenthey open the doors to her love and home cooked meals. Annabelle loved to bake various pies and cakes for family and friends. Whenever Annabelle would speak, it would always be about the goodness of the Lord and how HE BLESSED HER with her wonderful children which allowed her to extend that love to her foster children. When Annabelle’s children were beginning to leave the nest, she realized her heart still had a tremendous amount of love to give. She prayed and God answered; allowing her to become a certified Foster parent. It was often said that any child that came into her care was “BLESSED” because Annabelle treated every child as her own. Annabelle is lovingly known as Mother to many. She believed every child should be shown unconditional love. She leaves to mourn: three sons, Thomas, Ronnie and Brian; two daughters,Veronica and Keyona; grandchildren, Stephanie, Garrett, Amber, Xavier, Samantha, Channel and Larry Jr.; two great-grands, Avonte and Shemar; two daughters-inlaw, Tabatha and Natalie; one grandson-in-law, Sean Rone; one sister-in-law, Joy Lindsay of Gastonia, North Carolina; one special niece, Elizabeth Hughes of Baltimore, Maryland; three love daughters, Maie, Shervonda and Melissa (b.k.a. Pam); and one love son, Ray; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, greatnephews, cousins and friends.
